New to autos

Never tried autos before so I was wondering what would be a good number to start with the space and light I have to work with. Gonna be ordering a 4x4 tent kit from igtfarms that comes with their 220w quantum board led (which I know isn’t ideal for a 4x4 but it’s in my budget) This will be my first led grow also, I know autos aren’t gonna get to be the size of the photo periods I’m used to so typically I’d assume I could fit more but I don’t want to start too many and run out of room either. Any and all information is appreciated. Again, I’m new to autos so any tips on growing would be useful as well as any breeder suggestions as well. Would you suggest leaving my led on 100% since it’s just a 220w or should I dim at first? Leaning towards fast buds or dinafem but I have no experience with either breeder so I’m open to suggestions. I’m in the US so I’d like to find a bank on this side of the pond to order from.

4 fits fine in a 4x4.

220 w is less led than I have in my 2x4. I need to put my meter on it but I believe it is rated for 350.

500-600 is probably recommended for a 4x4.

Run the led on low for first few weeks.

I was gonna run 5 gal fabric pots. And good looking on the link! I’ve only ordered from attitude and although they’ve done me good in the past I’ve really wanted to find a bank on this side of the pond to order from.

Hey no problem, there's no need to worry about customs anymore.. Plenty of great banks in the U.S. NASC is just one of them.

How do you intend to grow? In soil? In coco? Hydro? If soil I'd say 5 gal pots is a good size... and I'd say minimum of 4 plants... if you are choosing a smaller strain maybe as many as 9 in a 4x4. If you are growing hydro or in coco using high frequency fertigation... 2 or 3 gallong pots will do with maybe 4-6 being good. I've seen some guys with autos busting through the tops of the tent using this method.

Sorry I didn't read thoroughly. A 220 watt quantum board is more suited to a 2x4 tent or a 3x3... you definitely need closer to 600 watts to properly fill out a 4x4. If you want you could get a 4x4... put 2 or 3 plants directly under the light... then later get another light or 2 like the 1 you currently have and do much better filling out that tent. I would not try to fill a 4x4 using a 220 watt light. You will just end up disappointed.

I got a cheap Chinese 480w.quantum build. I plan on growing in soil in 5 gal fabric pots. I ordered a 3 pack and a 5 pack of autos and got 2 freebies so I’m thinking about just running the 5 pack in one run and the others in my next

Start off with the 480 and about week 5 or 6 when they are in full flower hook up the 220 for a little extra juice.
