IMO I would go ahead and up pot and you can water around the stem let them roots hunt for water and you will get a good root system going and them boom u got a good plant going.. First get rid of the MG soil get u some happy frog with a bag of perlite and get them going.. I use fabric pots and I just water slowly to make sure they get watered right cuz I don’t have any trays to wick the water
I picked up perlite today.. I was going to get fox farms but I might go with the happy frog.... Ordering 5 gallon fabric pots Friday along with a grow tent and fans ph up, down etc. The tent comes with a tray on the bottom for water but I may just water slowly as u suggested to avoid any over watering

When they small like that like I said just make a circle around the stem and as weeks go but keep making the circle bigger till your finally watering the whole pot .. When I did it I didn’t make my circle bigger till I noticed the plant was drinking it in a day or a day and a half ... I personally haven’t tried ocean forest put some say it’s hot some say it’s not so that would be something for u to decide.... On the perlite did u get the chunky kind or fine chop???

Tent trays suck. Each pot needs its own tray.
Ocean Forest is better than Happy Frog (both are made by fox farms).

Both made by fox farms? I thought it was 2 companies . Anyway hopefully I have enough cash left over to grab a few trays as well..
PS. Am I to new to like posts? It doesn't give me the option

That's funny because that's where I read about topping and decided to do it. I also have a PDF of sum kind of complete guide to growing . Unfortunately I only read it when an issue pops up Smh. I'm Such a NOOB lol.

U my friend make a fellow grower feel welcome! Thanks for that.. As far as the haters go, there's always 1 lol
Not saying to destroy the plant. Keep it as your experiment to do tests with, you never know it could be the best plant ever. I say to start some new seeds so at the end you don't get discouraged from doing it again, a bit of return on your time and money investment.

Here's a few pics.. Transplanted into a fabric pot and moved everything into the tent.. Also did a small amount of LST to allow light to hit the lower branches and hopefully catch up so I can have an even canopy. Going to veg for a while now that I have more space. I'll update when there's progress and /or changes

Ok it's been almost two weeks. There was a lot of under growth that I got rid of. I also broke a branch during lst and I immediately put the bottom of the broken stem in water. Today I noticed small White root nubs. Money is low so hopefully it can survive in the water until I can get more soil. I'm really hoping for a female so all this time and effort isn't for nothing. Where the stem broke the under growth in the area shot up and there are two new "colas" growing from below the break. So that makes 5, possibly 6, tops or "colas" or whatever you prefer. I plan on vegging her out for another 3 to 4 weeks and then I may flip to 12/12. I also changed the light cycle from 18/6 to 20/4. Since the switch I've notice more growth. I also raised my lights a few inches today. Well, until next time here's sum pictures. Im open to any advice

Wow I went back and lookd at some of the first pics I posted here and it looks like a totally different plant. What do you guys think? Im not going to top again, I'm going to lst until all the tops are an even canopy. I've got 3 even so far and during these last 4 or so weeks of veg im going to focus on keeping the canopy as even as possible to prepare for the stretch during the first few flowering weeks. I only wish there was a way to know the sex b4 actually wasting the time putting it into flower. If she is a female tho I have taken 2 clones. Only one started rooting but also was cut about a week earlier. If this is the case I plan on potting them and and a few seeds as well in hopes of growing atleast 3 or 4 fir the next run. I'm going to need a veggibg box of some sort. But anyway I just wanted to keep this grow "journal " up to date. Let me know what u all think

One week update : noticeably more growth. Right before these pictures I did a bit more low stress training, hoping this helps the three small fairly new "tops" catch up in hight. My main goal is to have an even canopy if 5 or 6 main tops/colas. I'd like to see a bit more hight and overall foilage growth before flipping the switch to 12/12. Any thoughts on how much longer I should veg?
