New Member.. Starting to Grow

I came across this site while trying to do some research on growing, and I'd like to say its definatley the most informative site I've came across so far..

I read alot of the articles and they've been a great help..

I've never growed in the past years, i've just been coming out of pocket alot and would like to change that around and get started..

I'm on a very limited budget for the next couple of months, however I want to start off experimenting..

I have about 20 bag seeds germinating as per widow makers "how to grow marijuana" guide

They have about a day left, i am also about to pick up some scotts soil..

As far as lighting, i couldnt afford much so I bought an inexpensive flouerscent light only 20W.. and a small glass aquarium matching it that i had laying around which i will start them in..

I was thinking of maybe using some other household lights as well surrounding the glass..

I am not too experienced with this.. Is this a good way to start?

I plan on keeping the top light an inch away by raising the plants up in the tank with a box or something..

I have about 15 to 20 seeds germinating.. How many plants should i start with to expect a female or two? I am very limited on space in my new place

Im sorry if these questions have been posted before.. But i've been looking around and theres a couple things that have been confusing me..

If anyone can answer any of this itd be a great help..

Also.. I know there is a couple of threads for nutrients to use.. But for the first step.. If i was limited to only one or two inexpensive ones.. What should i pick up? Something that might be available at my local hydroponics store

Thanks

1st - Loose the aquarium and by some pots and soil
2nd - If u want to grow that many amount of plants u´ll need much more light then just a 20watter (get some cfl´s pretty cheap and get the job done)
3rd - Build a wooden box to set up as a growroom (i bought a closet for 10$ with nice dimentions)
4th - If u´re germinating 20 seeds u should get about half of that amount as females
5th - Incandescent and halogen bulbs won´t do any good, since u´re on a budget get cfl´s and keep them about an inch or two from the plants
6th - Regarding nutes u´ll need nutes for veg cycle and nutes for flower cycle (dif N-P-K ratios) ask at the hydro shop they´ll point u some options
7th - MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL READ READ READ READ READ AND READ SOME MORE

Ok.. I didnt waste any time..

I went out to home depot and picked up some CFL's

I got my self some scotts soil..

And im going to start the plants in 16 oz clear cups as Widow maker stated in his guide..

Now.. After purchasing all that im once again low on cash..

Can i surround the outsides of the glass aquarium with a white sheet or maybe tin foil.. and start the plants in there? keeping it covered.. Im working with an extremley small closet space.. and there is some clothing in there, I dont want the two to interfere
