Hi folks, I'm a first timer having limited success with 2 black widow auto flowers . Both vegged great with bw#2 winning the race UNTILL it just stopped growing while bw #1 just took off 2" per day for 3 days UNTILL it stopped as well .
switching from 400w MH bulb to 600w HPS
Everything went well for 3 weeks then bw#1 started really turning yellow and appeared to be dieing
It is in a self watering bucket 5gal . I had been bottom feeding only . I had thought I should water from top when using straight water but everything was going so great I was scared to change anything as bw #2 is in a normal 3 gal bucket and I had trouble overwatering and I'm sure I stunted it a couple times .
So on my instinct I took apart my self watering set up and flushed to test ph . I had been watering and feeding at 6.3ish ph and found the run off to be 4.8 ph . So flushed 8 gals through it and after 4 days it started to come back. Ill be reading and learning , I'm hesitant to take intranet advise as it seems there's always conflicting opinions but I hope to learn what advise to follow also
Cheers for now

Hi and welcome, The best bit of advice when starting out is just keep it simple, The girl on the left of the pic doesn't look good at all. looks like its got a few issues going on. maybe overfed/over watered or even nute burn. worse case its locked out.

A few bits more info would help me and other on here to understand better what may be going wrong.

Are you still feeding her? and is she drinking?

What are you feeding them?

Have you been letting her dry out in-between feeds?

There are lots of people on here with good advice and usually you can weed out the crap advice from the good.
For the first few years i didn't even look at ph and still did Ok. Try not to get yourself bogged down too much with worrying about ph levels at runoff just make sure what your feeding it is in the right range.

Keep It Simple!!

Thanks guys , I'm a real newby . I did take a guys advise to flush it , he thought it was a nutrient Ockham out . And after 4 days it is coming back . He blamed it on my self watering bucket ( I was only bottom feeding ) so normal bucket next time . I was feeding them both the same and the only diff is the size and style of the buckets
