I'm growing a few seeds I got from Afghanistan. I germd in riot root cubes then placed in solo cups. I started under cfls. About 180w 6500k. There were 12 but I'm discarding anything that experiences less than ideal conditions to optimize end results. I'm down to 8 but all are very happy. All between 5 and 8 days old.
I will move them into my veg room under my 600w mh in another week or two. Here's the update pics. Feel free to ask any questions or offer input. Ill post updates intermittently.
Details:
i have a stealth box build in a spare room.bactually dual boxes. The 600w box is 4x3 and
6' tall. I have a digital dimmable 600w ballast and I have mh and hps bulbs for it. I have a cool tube and 6" ducting connected to 2x 240cfm inline booster fans exhausting into my attic.
Thats the left side of my cabinet. The right side of the cAbinet is a 2.5'x2.5' and 5' tall box with a 250w hps in cooltube linked with the 600w cooltube. So ducting looks like this:
600w cooltube==250w cooltube=240cfm fan=90 deg turn up wall to attic===240cfm fan in attic.
So far one of the fans seems to be enough to cool them both but once I add the carbon filter ill probably need that second fan. Maybe even an upgrade will be in order.
The smaller box will be used primarily for breeding only. I have some of the rarest seeds in the world so I'm gonna have to do some playing around with genetics to really keep this going. But mostly I want to veg and flower in the 600w box about 6 plants at a time.
Ideally I hope to get a decent mother or two of the 8 seedlings I have now so I can start growing from clones and get into a good groove. Also j have one fem NL seed that's germing right now that I hope to make a mother. Ill get some pics up ASAP.
