Sounds like its "foxtailing"- this can be caused by genetics or heat/light stress- had it on my pineapple kush, so might be genetically inclined(pineapple kush being a pineapple express cross with og. kush)

you are either foxtailing or it has exceeded 12/12 on a photoperiod plant.

is this an auto or a photo?

not auto...never heard of photo...feminized...i think ur right about it being genetics...i just increased my feed from 2 to 1, 3 to 1....then it took off, foxtailing (another new term). what can I do? it looks like it's softening my exiting hard bud...i really appreciate the help...

would pictures help? the pictures I have seen dont look like mine...my foxtailing is about 18 inches now...should I harvest and discard the new growth like leaves?

i hope this helps. I use sog system where plants r about 2 feet. hydro. with this new growth it takes up alot of room and light. I read a term, "light leak". I may be guilty of that. running cuttings and mother plants (light 24 hrs) near by. I do love everybody's comments. still in the middle of my learning curve. I just cut off my new growth. mushy buds now.

thats why i said i was exposed to over 12/12... listen to me baby.

turn on ur lights
take some wax paper roll, cover the inside of ur tent and thumbtack it in the corners.
go outside ur tent

take a can of BLACK flex-seal (from lowes) and spray it everywhere. that u see light. boom.love u good luck.

That is revegetating. No doubt about it. Buds shouldn't really have branches coming from them.

You need to make sure that there's not a light on or a light leak in its night time. This can be anything from an led on a power board. To the toggle switches on some models of light.

Could also be a hole in the confine somewhere. Or maybe the lamps arent completely off somehow.

Either way. That plant doesn't seem to be getting it's minimum 12 hours of darkness. Hence the new branches on your buds.

thank u guys...i get it now...i get 12/12...went out of town & left a door open...ok...to fix this now....this is what i did...i cut the new branches off...putting in dark for the next 72 years hours to shock the plants back into flower stage...hope that helps my exiting buds to get back on track...is this the right fix or is there something else I can do...?

pray, expect 2 weeks of no growth from shock. pay close attention and make sure that it continues to grow the existing bud, if it starts to rot you have to remove it. better to remove it super early and cook it into butter or something than to have it rot.

I doubt that those bud sites will continue to grow. The plant in your picture is no longer in its flowering stage. That plant has been exposed to light for quite awhile.
You should not have cut the branching. Look up "Monster Cropping".
Not much you can do now. Watch for rot like Lite said.
If you have some other plants to take up that space I'd put them in and call it quits on this one.
