Hey everyone I'm starting a new grow in a couple of months and I'm starting my research now as to what I want to grow, I'm more into the balanced high or leaning a bit towards heady but not Sativa dom they seem to take FOREVER to flower. I'm growing in a relatively small cabinet 6ft tall x 3ft wide x 2.5ft deep for flowering in a homemade aero system under a 600w HPS (Top center) and 4x2ft 4 tube FL Grow Lights (on the sides of the cabinet to promote growth on the sides). I'm thinking 6 plants shouldn't be a problem through flowering in there with air flow etc but I'm willing to cut down to 4 if necessary. ANYHOOO...
Where I live its unfortunately not possible to find "name brand" smoke... I get descent mids, all sensi, no seeds and the bags aren't small so its not like I feel ripped off I'm just a beer snob and tend to enjoy my other vices to a huge degree as well so I want to smoke the best sh!t, my own. I grew up in No Cal (SF) and grew a bit back 15yrs ago but I've been out of it since, and a lot has happened since then. As far as the setup and all I'm confident after researching the last month + I have a grasp on where to start but where I don't have any basis anymore is the Strains... This is where I need ya'll!
I have picked out a few strains I have heard incredible things about and a few I have tried during my various travels. Please let me know what you think about the high, yield and time to grow. I'm not asking for specifics, I don't care how many g/m2 it yielded just something like it was descent or low or OMFG.
My current top 5 are: (In NO Order)
Green House - Trainwreck
Nirvana - AK48
DNA Genetics - Kushberry
Barney's - Violator Kush
DNA Genetics - Martian Mean Green (This is a super long flowering one I know but I just can't get over the MMG name and Marvin the Martin happens to be my fave)
I would also like to ask about Herbies Head Shop Dot Com Their website is much better put together than most other seed companies and they have a descent selection from what I see, does anyone have any experience? I saw 1-2 threads IIRC but no real answers.
