New DWC cooler setup w/ Blueberry Clones

I pulled one of the plants out of the pellets yesterday, and all the old roots had died, and new roots were growing out of the sides. Hopefully these plants perk up soon. On a happier note, I got my doctors recommendation yesterday and should be getting my red card in 2-3 weeks

I set up my grow tent as well, but don't really know the best way to utilize my equipment. I'm vegging in a closet, and I have the tent in the same room. I only have one fan and carbon filter that I want to run. I was thinking about getting an additional fan for the hood exhaust, and just sitting the fan and carbon filter in the room somewhere else. Anybody have ideas?

Oh yea, 3/3 Jackberry's sprouted and 1/3 Killing Fields so far. I don't know what type of veg setup I want to do so any ideas on that would be appreciated too!

I've thrown away the blueberries, because they weren't showing any signs of improvement. The 3 shown about are all Jackberry and I have 3 more cracking atm. None of the killing fields that I germinated survived, so hopefully the 3 jack bs that I am germinating will work out.

What do you guys think about the one thats yellowing? The ph is steady around 5.9-6.0, 66° f water, 200 ppm, and 80° outside temp. I don't know why its being finicky.

I built a veg chamber out of 2x4s and white poly today. I wanted to have my veg and flower tents in the same room, but completely separate for zero light leaks. I also don't want to use air-conditioning for the room so I'm not going to be able t run the HPS this summer. I've been thinking of getting another LED. My 300w will cover 2 med/big plants, and I'm planning on having 6 flowering at a time, so I need one to about a 3x3.

I should be getting my Med card pretty soon, and can't wait to buy some clones. I've still got plenty of medicine from my last grow

Might be good to get some more air in there. On a 5 gallon I'd put 4, 6 inch air stones in each. Maybe 3.

Sounds good BB57, I've got a 5'' round and a 6'' long atm. I was thinking about getting an industrial air pump and adding 1 more air stone per container. I was also thinking of getting coolers like yours. My plan is to have 6 plants flowering in the tent, and I'd like to cycle 3 and 3.

I used to run the 4 outlet pumps.

Now I run one 110 litre per minute air pump per cooler and I got rid of the 12, 6 inch air stones and devised another bubble delivery system. One tube going in the cooler. Massive bubbles of the right size.

Nice The problem I'm having with my DWC system I've setup is all the PH checking and reservoir changes to each container. I'm only growing for myself and my friend, and I cannot sell any extra bud to anyone. If I was to magnify this setup to the 6 flower/6 veg plants that I am allotted, I would have more weight than I am allowed, as well as a lot more work. 12 individual 5gals is a lot more work than I would like to do.

I think I'm going to continue with the DWC I have growing, and also practice in coco. So far I've grown in soil, and an ebb and flow system. My overall goal is to learn all growing methods. I'm going to have to stagger my harvest in order to stay under regulations, and also make more hash from bud which isn't a bad thing. Thanks for the reply Boomer Bloomer, your setup is sick!

3 coolers, 1 pump, 12 outlets, 12 6 inch air stones, 4 stones per cooler.

Haha, its good being the spliff collector.

I changed all rez's yesterday, ppm'd the 2 healthy plants at 350, and the small one with spotted leaves at 250. I'm using 1part grow,micro, and bloom.
I'll have more and more pics as they grow.
I got back my card registration in the mail late wednesday and I was super excited. However, they sent my form back because I used a temporary check, and somewhere in the fine print they said no temporary checks. Sent it back thursday morning with a money order. Hopefully I will have may card in a few days. Always with the complications. My fingers are crossed this time. The day I get my card I will be buying clones, still pretty excited about that

I have a bag of Canna Coco, and am going to be using that on 3 in grow bags. I figure I have it so why not. I was thinking about doing a big cooler in the veg tent with enough space to veg 6 medium plants. Then eventually doing a grow similar to FLow Gs/Boomers, with a screen.

Open to all suggestions!

I pulled the plant that was looking poorly, and replaced it with a new Jack berry seedling. Also put a seedling in coco.

The plant in photo 3 has some weird shit on the roots. Anybody got ideas let me know. The res temp is around 66-67f. I haven't been putting anything in the coolers to keep them sterile.

ppms at 350 for the bigger plants. Around 200 for the seedlings.

I FIMed the biggest plant yesterday, and there is already some serious branch growth.

Any suggestions or comments would be good.

Did you rinse the hydroton well? Maybe take the pot and put it in the tub and rinse it.
You shouldn't have problems with algae unless the temps get high or light gets in. So I don't think that's what it is.
Opinions may vary but I use bleach myself in the rez. Not a large amount, but just enough to kill the bacteria.
Don't go overboard with the nutes. Less is more in some cases.

Thanks, I rinsed the shit out of the Hydroton, so its probably not that. I think it may be just a little residue. The water looks clean. I hear you with the nutes, I'm gonna try to keep it light. Still pretty new to Hydro!

I always get some sort of build up from the additives I add. When I do a res change I dump out the old stuff rinse in the tub and wipe down with a paper towel then refill.

THe blu berries are all dead. Too much transplant stress. Now I have 2 2-3wk old Jackberry veggies, 2 more jackberry that just popped, and 2 AK48s that just sprouted and are in coco.

I'll probably flip the two older jackberries to 12/12 in about a week or so. They are growing very nicely now, and the root system is well established. I'm going to have to run LED's in flowering for the summer. I already have a 300w light that works well over about 2 plants, and I was thinking of getting a 240w blackstar to supplement that. Gonna be running 6 plants at all times in the flowering room.

Anybody have input on which LED I should buy? I'm also taking a leap of faith today, and getting a couple more coolers and pumps to finish my setup!
