Different strains act different when they get all tangled up & start growing into each other you can get pest problems & come time for trimming you cut the workload down. What strain is that.
I appreciate your advice. The pic was to show that you needn't sacrifice the rest of the plant for the tops.

Not all strains like vertical, so you'll need to do a little strain hunting to find those you like. My advice is to find sativa crosses, they generally do what we want.

Another thing is when u have all that over growth going on the plant can't concentrate its energy to the Bud sites, and I've found out with trial n that you can get bug problems indoors if it's so bushy they can hide out like a M*******. & ive had air circulation peons in the past when my shit got all bushed out.so now I'll prune the shit so the ladies get plenty of airflow & no bugs.

Pro tip: ( which means don't fucking debate me). Use pro tekt as ph up when you mix your nutes. Silica REALLY helps strengthen stems and it's not found in any nutrient formulas.

Pro tip #2. Don't be a fucking douche bag and by protek, go online and buy 5 lbs of potassium silicate. Mix 1 pound with one gallon of water. Know you have your own pro-tel for about $4 a bottle.

Non pro tip... don't drop your water level until there are solid roots coming out. Like a bunch of roots, not just a little custer.

Then slam the lights on them, spray with humic acid and watch them fucking explode!!!!

thanks I already use silica growth technology which is 6% potassium silicate, we dont get protek over here.

ive got a bit of leaf curl going on whats the reason for this? my humidity is 67% air temp 24°c

What's your Nutrient Solution temp?dont let it get over 66 degress that will keep your root zone temps cool ass hell so the Pathogen"Pythium" AKA Root Rot don't start attacking your roots. How do your roots look?R u running a chiller? In DWC it's a must or your guaranteed to get root rot.

no chiller yet and my res is at 71°f i thought pythium wouldn't take hold bellow 75°f ?

How often do you change out water/nutes? Are you topping off? with nutes or just water?
im only starting week 2 tomorrow so havent need tyo top up the res ive actually lowered the water level a little now ive got decent roots so theres about 25mm gap between the bottom of the pot and the water level, ive topped up the ec from 1.0 to 1.4 ive just added extra nutes,

ive kept a close eye on my ec and ph ive had to add a little ph up but not much and ive not seen any move in ec

roots look great i think

some numbers would help too...EC..ph?
I do a Nute changeout every 7-10 days.& I top off my Res with RO water & I keep my PH around 6.0 which seems to work fine,I top off around every 3 dayz.

Are you running air stones in your totes or air diffusers?

How long have you had roots in water?
roots came out of the net pots into the res about a week ago i was top feeding until the roots were fully in the res

Are you running air stones in your totes or air diffusers?
theres 4" air stone in each tote.

the rooted cuttings went into the 42 liter totes 2 weeks ago, 2 per tote and one tote out side the tent so i reckon theres about 160lt total res, i would have thought taht was more than enough to run the size of the plants for 3 weeks without need to change much,

once there a decent size i can see the res would need adjusting daily, there only small still even though the branch nodes are the closest ive ever seen there only a few mm apart!

Your plants are saying different, IMO
Give them a fresh batch of nutes at the same EC

Set your PH once and dont chase it. I set mine to 5.6 in veg and let it drift to 6.3-6.4 before a change out.

do you have any additives for root rot prevention?

a chiller is worth it's weight in gold for rdwc. to get you by, i'd suggest dutchmaster zone. it's basically just chlorine and copper. it will keep the nasties away. i even used it once i got a chiller. they have a regular dosage and a max dosage to get rid of root rot. 5mL per 5 gal or 12mL per 5 gal. so cheap to use too.

How many air stones per tote?I run 1 9" Air diffuser pet bucket.Dissolved Oxygen is what u want & the roots r in a constant micro bubble bath.

ok i will do a res swap tomorrow i will also get some pythoff which seems to be the main root prevention stuff over here,

i was hoping to hod off getting a chiller cause there bloody expensive but looks like i will have to bite the bullet
