Ok...these needle wheel pumps are used in the aquarium industry in the protein skimmers where lots of microbubbles are needed. These have replaced the airstones because they make more bubbles and the bubbles are smaller. I just dont know if you want that much current in the resiviour. Check out the youtube of the needlewheel in action. I have 3 of these needlewheel pumps already and am tempted to try them. There would be no airpump needed....no airstones. I just dont know how the root balls would like the current. Anyone here tried these?
