OK guys need some input and I'm hopping you guys can help out. So right now I am using 23 different additives and nutrients and really want to cut way back to 4 or 5 main things and then use more teas and dressings. So here is my list of what I have
Green sand
Bat and sea bird guano
Kelp
Azomite
Fish bone meal
Dolomite lime
Neen seed meal
Blood meal
Bio-live
Bone meal
Oyster shell
Alfalfa meal
Humic acid
Epsom salt
Aloe
Cocout
Mykyos
Azos
Worm,chicken,rabbt,horse manure

Now what I want to cut it down to
Kelp meal
Fish meal
Alfalfa
Castings
Aloe
Coconut
Azos,mykoys
Humic acid

So my question is is there anything that I'm missing or over doing? Any and all help is welcome as I'm still somewhat new to soil.

Hey Max
You can also cut out humics if making fresh castings.. and alfalfa meal if you do an alfalfa seed sprout tea in early flower, veg as well if you like.. its much better imo.

So, here's what I would keep for sure:

Meals
  • Kelp
  • Neem
Minerals
  • Paramagnetic Basalt
  • Soluble Gypsum / Langbeinite
Plus the bacterial & fungal biggies:
  • Endo Myco Fungi
  • FRESH DIY Worm castings
& the 2 big ones from nature, as a bonus & foliar:
  • Aloe (vitamins etc)
  • Coconut (enzymes etc)
Plus one or two very weak foliars of Mg S4 *i.e. epsom* right at the flip, between day 1 and 10, 14 max

That takes it down to 6 additives only, and the bonuses.. don't go in the soil necessarily.

NOTE, you may also need a chitin source, since you have no crustacean meal or crab shell meal.. I like insect frass for this, Black Soldier Fly to be exact, fed veggies, along with soft rock phosphate for soluble Ca

But a lot of things can provide protection..

however, if doing lots of teas, then hitting your plants with just ewc aact and or labs (lactic acid bacteria or lactobacillus serum) may help with pest pressure significantly.. If you don't mind the concocting / spraying thing.

I would also suggest the labs, citrus ferment, neem oil, karanja oil, to really round out your pest management regime, spraying one every second day. Seems a bit of a PITA to me, but if running such a lean mix low in chitin, might have to stay on top so bugs don't ever get a chance to establish / adapt

Thanks for the insight DonTesla, so just to make sure I understand you correctly your saying to forgo the fish, alfalfa and humic add crustacean, neem, langbeinite/gypsum and basalt with maybe some insect frass and Epsom folar correct.

Pleasure @maxamus1 and yeah basically

.. its what I would do anyway cause, one can always add a fish ___ foliar or alfalfa this or that foliar.. its fast.
I still added alfalfa meal the last batch I made, but these days I add a 1/5th of what I used to, and I double the kelp usually .. if planning a photo shoot I would skip alfalfa if going for health and yield I would accept the additional leafage as np

And yeah can drop the humics, those along with fulvics are heavily present in fresh compost including vermicompost and pure fresh castings especially.. so why buy that right.. fresh will remain best for this reason and many more..namely the life inherent.

I do the frass because of the astonishing effects and cause I'm too lazy to do grokashi or SST's often.. I think with a broad spectrum of micro nutrients and with calcium well covered that this is by far the most powerful thing for me to sub in, and fish the stinkiest, so thats what I'm gonna sub out myself anyway..

As for the rock recipe, 2-4 cups of just GRD could do, on the minimalist end, but I use 4 types of mineral at least because of the spectrum of benefits, from density (basalt), flavour & smell (gypsum), to potency, and health (SRP / GRD)..

If you skip langbeinite and gypsum I would for sure ensure the foliars with mg s4 for the big terp pop, has a mega greasy effect if timed well.. but you may not have to foliar if you include one or the other you see? I myself go by feel and look for hi thc, hi terps, with some cbd, so greasiness along with stickiness is goal for me always.

There're many ways to skin a cat though, the real question is what kind of end product are you after as well as workload. I go for that unreal top of the line end product, with a bit of work planning, but very little work throughout.
