IMG_20170522_112922.jpg IMG_20170522_112915.jpg I was thinking of like a 125 watt cfl or mars hydro grow light 130 watt led true watts . I only grew with a black star led one time . I need something I can have my lights close to my plants . I heard a mars hydro led lets you get it close when the plant gets used to the light

While I am no fan of MARS, if they have a COB-phosphor light, then yah, that would be the better choice over the CFL.
If it is the Blurple mix of monos, then no. Get a DIY light in that case.

I love the thought very low heat but a panel would take up very little space .if you know of any system thats very slim I'd be curious to find out

I'll be putting together a veg light for my cab using those strips very soon. The one ft. strips only run about 11 watts each at 500ma, you might need 6-8 to get some solid results.

so y'all think I should use some strips all around the cab for supplement lighting . And a cob or 3 -4 ? what is that look like?

Honestly, I would just slap a 90w QB in there and call it a day. You could put together something using the strips, but it would be a bunch of effort for no real gains. Just by the looks of it, the QB seems to be a perfect fit for your space; checks all the boxes for your requirements. Plus, all you have to do is connect a couple wires and hang the thing, and you're rockin a very small version of one of the most efficient, highest efficacy LED fixtures available. Why waste money on an under performing fixture like Mars with terrible, outdated tech inside?

Are no parts with a quantum board... just the one piece to hang.
Check out the QB grows and get an idea how close you can go.
Small - Tight - Coverage end to end
Still evolving on these but they do look promising.

If you got those bitches to root and stay alive by the water rooting method, then planting straight into soil, more power to you. I've never been able to do it. Glad things are going well bro.
