what if...

i was growing marijuana, 2 plants in flowering...and there might be a possibility of a search warrant being issued for my place for theft or stolen property...would i face anything for the plants? need info fast, not just random advice...don't mean to sound a little assholish...just freaking a little bit now

I'm no lawyer.... but if they have a search warrant and your plants are in the area they are entitled to search.... then I'd say you would be BUSTED! As far as I know the only time your lawyer could get you off on the plant charge is if they searched without your consent without warrant and found them.... or searched outside the area covered by the search warrant.

The bigger question is .... why would you involve yourself in anything associated to theft that could lead to a search warrant of your place? Thieves are NEVER looked upon favorably here... and I'm trying to give you the benefit of the doubt that it's all a mistake.... but why would you associate yourself with any activity or person that could lead to you being dragged into it while growing? Rule #2.... be law abiding in everything else you do so as not to draw any attention to your grow.

If you fear a search warrant.... ABORT and DESTROY ALL GROW immediately! Better to live free to grow another day.

Well they will be coming for the thing you bought .. I'd get rid of it .or turn it in , Say you heard on the street that it was "Hot" after you bought it ..

it depends on what the warrant says,can you move the plant some where or take the shit to the police station tell them you bought it and you herd it might be stolen , better 5 degree then busted ps dont tell them you found it tell them you bought it from some dude you meet make up a name

If someone sold me something that was stolen and knew it was stolen because they are the one who stole it, I wouldn't give a shit about what trouble they were in. They are an asshole of the 2nd degree. First, they are lowlife enough to go burglarize something, secondly, they then turn around and involve you in the crime by selling it to you. You also state that he may turn you in for an easier sentence? WTF? I would go give the item to the police, tell them exactly how I got it and from who and had no idea it was stolen until this guy got busted for it.

Now if you knew it was stolen in the first place, then I couldn't give a rat's ass about you, your friend or your predicament because that makes you a lowlife thief as well. My house was broken into by some loser last summer and I lost several things including an old antique handgun which was the only thing I have left from my grandpa after he passed away. Probably got sold for chump change to one of the guy's buddys.

Thieves are shitbags. No honor, no integrity, even their own mother can't trust them.

I feel sorry for the guy who lost his game console.

i don't know if i can handle diming out a friend...yeah i had no idea the shit was stolen til i got a panicked phone call from him...but everyone is telling me to relax they are only after my friend cuz apparently he has been stealing alot of shit thats reallly expensive so they won't waste time on me...fingers crossed

i cut em down and tossed em, never would've been able to move em, maybe the one, but the my main plant was 4 1/2 feet and weighed like 40 pounds...i was worried i was being watched and still am

Man your trippin, the boys are coming after you over a dam wii fit. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? So your boy got popped, what do you think he's gonna say to the cops? He has nothing to bargain, the cops could give a shit about who he sold it to, they wouldnt have enough evidence to prosecute you so there would be no point or ability to get a search warrant. Your boy probably wont even do any jail time if thats all he got popped for, you sound like your a little paranoid.

NOTE: cops execute warrents on dope, guns, and theives, not on people who bought video game systems from someone who stole them.

okay, well, i've been keeping my head down anyways, bout to get my grow back on line...but apparently he was stealing ALOT of shit, i read in the papers they charged him with third degree theft by unlawful taking, it's a felony...he was held on 5k bail no 10% option...the reason i was so paranoid was because of the plants, i had a fire inspector come on tuesday i probably would've packed up my grow completly for that regardless of the cop shit, so the guy comes to my place walks in 5 feet pushes the button on the smoke alarm and leaves...i would've killed someone if i killed my plants because of that

so all is well so far, very glad i chopped them the cops(prosecutors office) did come to my house...apparently he confessed and to minimize his restitution(what the cops told me) so i gave them the wii and asked if i had anything else and basically just walked around my apartment, checked my closets and just looked at all my electronic shit, but all my shit is old and paid for, so they let me go with no charges. i was freakin a little bit, but when they just started walking around looking around i was like anything they see is gotta be inadmissable without a warrant, but i didn't want to say anything cuz they coulda ripped me for the wii...smart move or dumb one? there was absolutely nothing illegal in my crib so i knew they wouldn't find anything, but it did not feel god to have my rights be semi-violated.
