Need help with some sort of deficiency..

The container being big isnt a problem as long as you don't water too frequently. roots need air so make sure they get it between waterings (let the pot go dry but not so dry the leaves wilt and you're good) having a big pot will allow faster growth although keeping them in smaller pots while young can cause shorter, more controlled growth with less space between nodes but i wouldn't transplant to a smaller size I'd say wait until the plant can go to a bigger container if anything. Coming out of heat stress you dont want to risk stressing it again
You're probably right, shouldn't stress them out anymore than they already have been. As far as the container goes, honestly it is a pretty huge container so I couldn't imagine I would need to move her at all from here on out. Thanks for the input as usual!

Hey guys here is just a little update after a few days of raising up the LED panel to stop burning the leaves.

New leaves are definitely not cupping anymore, but even the new growth seems to have brown on just the very tips and I am not sure what that is from. I am mixing my nutes with distilled water. Any chance it could be lacking something from that type of water?

I am also toying with the idea of taking the 300W LED Panel off and putting my 150W Sunsystems HPS back up above her. I used the HPS on my first grow. It just seems my first grow was much further along at this stage, if not in full size at least in the leaf size. First strain was Critical Kush and this is White Widow, so maybe the leaves are just generally smaller but I don't know. Thoughts?

Another update a day later everyone.

Really wondering if I should throw her under the 150HPS instead, I am just not seeing the growth this time around as I did the first time. But again, it could be strain and this is only my second grow ever so I really don't know.

As you can see she seems bushy yet small, and the leaves are by no means big...any thoughts?

Also looking for some guidance on whether I should LST her, fim, top? I have never done any of these and not really sure where to start. Thanks ahead of time for any guidance and chiming in!

Well nice to see theyre making it. My expirience has been that leds grow short plants for some reason. Id be willing to bet that if you changed that light to the hps you would see them take off. Just remember not to put the hps too close like the led. Hps is stronger than your led most likely. Theyll start to grow ;)

Thank you for the reply, Alien.

You have any thoughts on whether or not I should trim her up? Top? Fim? LST? Just learning here so I don't know if I should just leave her alone. Going to give her a few more days under the LEDs and will most likely switch back to the 150w HPS.

If i have leaf death i trim the affected area back to the green parts. And what you want to do with it in terms of training has alot to do with the size you want it to finish and what the plan is. Personally if i was runing one plant id veg the hell out of it around a stadium shaped scrog screen. Thats just me.

I would like to run a scrog on her, but I'll be honest I don't even know exactly how or where to begin the size of the screen and where to place her branches or leaves through on said screen lol

I'll do some digging and try to implement into the grow. Thanks.

Go buy some half or 3/4 inch pvc, figure out how big your footprint is going to be for your light at the hight you want it. Then make a pvc frame around where you want the screen attached. Fasten the screen material to it and start letting the plant grow under it to fill the screen. Topping jut the tips off the main branches will cause more main tops to form but dont make a million tops lol. Then just let it grow and keep pulling the growth back under the screen until its full, then flower and theyll stretch right through the screen in a nice even pattern hopefully.

Hey guys another little update.

I feel like this girl is stunted and not moving much at all lately. I just now ditched the 300W LED panel and switched to a 150W HPS and am going to see if she starts some movement.

From the pics below, do I need to thin her our? She seems bushy, fairly tight node spacing, but the leaves are just so tiny and she isn't gaining any height at all. Thoughts?

Thanks for the input. Do you think she will do better now that she is under the HPS? I am thinking the LED had something to do with it as well but I could be wrong. Here is hoping she takes off soon!

yes i think well be better under your hps bulb in veg you got Metal Halide bulb better for veg
I do not have a MH. I have a 300W LED panel, and a 150W HPS. She is under the HPS now for the first time starting this morning. We will see what happens. Any thoughts on whether she is already too far along to start with LST?

You can LST , to " open up middle " of plant . During veg you can top or FIM . Burned leaves will not recover but you can Knuckle cut them so plant doesn't concentrate on repair but on new growth. LEDS will grow any size plants. Pheno type dictate internode spacing , sometimes also by lower light than what the plant SHOULD be getting then plant will stretch.

I keep LED AT 18" - 24" distance , excessive light CAN stress a plant into stunting , not just burning.

Believe it or not FFOF have enough nutes intermixed to provide good basic growth up to week 3. I just let the plants get their " legs " before dropping nutes on them.

you can LST now
Nice. Think I will spray her down when the lights go out, let her sleep, then tie her over on her side when lights are back up later tonight

Thank you for the input. When lights turn back on here in a little while I think I am going to bend her over on her side and tie her down to open her up lol
