i have 20 nyc diesel clones floating above some clean 6 ph well water. i cut them at a 45 degree angle, stuck them quickly in root hormone, then right into the water. i realized that the rooting hormone definately raised the ph daily to around 8-9. i finally totally cleaned out the res and replaced with new tap water at 6 ph. so for almost 4 days since the cutting were taken they have been experiencing a fluctuating ph. hopefully now the rooting hormone will no longer effect the ph. i may never use it again honestly.

my clones are appearing to suck inward. the lower fan leaves are turning yellow, but the main leaves are all staying green, they are just looking to implode. hopefully the next couple days i will see some roots and all will be good.

does anyone have any advice for me to do this better?

any advice at all would be appreciated. i don't know if i should clip off the yellowing leaves? i have been spraying the clones with water when i have time, which isn't that much. they honestly look like the are dying for the most part.. i hope they pull through

unless its ph'd well water it probably wont happen because i just don't have the time to spend with them. i wish i did...

well i think i am going to lose all my clones, or at least it is looking that way if roots don't start forming soon... i hope they can make it

i also use a bubble cloner and since its a fairly small res for the bubbles the PH fluctuates pretty much on a daily basis since i dont put any nutes that have ph buffers in it, just phd water. at first i also had yellowing leaves most likely due to ph, but i just kept at it lowering it everyday and eventually they all made it. i heard it also helps to have the water on the warmer side so that it roots faster. i, personally, dont have a heater bc theres way too many things on a single breaker in my house already that added draw just scares me haha, and bc of that it takes a little longer for them to show roots. i guess you just have to keep adjusting ph as often as possible, but i know that that option kinda sucks haha
