Hey guys, first time grower here and ive decided to hollow out my dresser. its dementions are about 5 ft tall, 3 ft wide, and 2 ft deep, im only going to grow 3 plants in it. im going to have a exhaust fan in the upper right corner and an intake in the bottom left. I need help finding a light and were i could get it/ what size i should get. Ive purschased a humidity/ temp gauge from petco for 10 bucks. For the walls of the dresser im just using wrapping papper. what do you guys think? please add ur suggestions... and do you think i will be in the clear with smell.. im not looking for grade a bud just some good old nug for my personal stash.

6 sq feet. I recommend no less than a 250W HPS. 400 would be better. There are lots of ppl on here that will tell you growing with CFL is OK and if you have no choice, some bud is better than no bud, but if an HPS is possible get it. Even a small on 70-150W for 1-2 plants. You want 50W per sq ft for good chunky buds. Less will work but why wait 6 months for 1 weeks worth of smoke?

Ebay is a good place to start for lights. Or craigslist. HTGsupply.com has good light deals and an ebay store. Good luck.

I'd be tempted to get 2 of these cheap beauties if I lived in the US. At $20 and 15000 lumens a piece (means 30000 lumens in total, 5000/sq foot) you'll be hard pressed to get the same light output from CFLs at a similar price.

The link is too long to post on this forum so cut and copy it into your web browser; removing the spaces where you find them.

in that small area hps is going to get real warm even with good venting. think I would use 4 42w cfls. I'm on my first cfl grow. since oct 22 the seed plants are working on a foot tall and the clones are still small but growing. i have 3- 42w 1-4" tube and 1=85w. added the 85w three days ago and the plant have grown one inch very day.

you might want to get your lights closer or more lumens then cos that sounds like they are stretching

 could not agree more. CFL for flowering is a waste of time. Why wait 6 monts for 1/4 oz of smoke. :o

I second that I think alot of CFL growers are UK and shit like that were they have a TV tax. or just plain poor IMO.get a real setup and run HPS for flower and HID or T5 output for veg.
