Specifically told Meijiu sales rep I needed a 240v plug multiple times for the HLG 550 knockoff and they send me get a 120v plug.

Any idea where to get a 240v version of this and will it still work properly with the driver?

Kind of hard to believe they won’t ship you the proper one. I just spoke with Rita from Meijiu last night and she’s sending me the exact same plug extension for my lights free?

Ahhhh so you’re just a impatient twat then

gotcha

mistakes happen and they will send you the proper ones I have no doubts about that. Not sure where you are getting your month wait times from but I’ve placed probably 2 dozen orders through them and had my package at my door the same week usually

Your local hardware store? I just bought 2 plugs in mine. The drivers allways comes plugless from manufacturer and you have to connect one yourself.

Think of it as change the plug on any cable, just make sure you your cables right, the same way as in trhe old plug, basicly only the ground to worry about.

Take the plug apart youll find 3 wires connected to it. 2 of them are for power one (im assuming the middle pin but aw16 or anyone on 120 should be able to confirm) is ground. Connect them to the pins and the ground of your 240 socket. As stated above the driver takes almost any normal voltage.

I just got my lights from Alibaba and had the exact opposite problem! Mine came with 240s and I need a 120! Trade? Off to the hardware store I go!

Absolutely. Much more permanent a fix.
I didn’t want to hack up the wire since my room has an old dryer hook up that I can swap to 240v outlets so I built my own adapter using some stuff from the hardware store. Works for now until I wire up my 240 plugs.
