Need advice on my LED choice.

I am currently planning my grow setup (on a budget of 500 so sticking with vipar) for my walk in closet. I have a small amount of space so I've gone for a 2ftx2ftx5ft tent. I initially had selected the vipar spectra 450w but have now added the 600w to the lot instead. Will this be overkill for the size of my tent? Is it likely I'll have temp issues even with two fans and an exhaust filter? Love to hear your opinions thanks.

The 600w is 260 watts, which equates to 65 watts per square foot. Target is 50 with blurples. I'm not sure that the vipar has a dimmer, which you would want if temps are a concern. If you have adequate ventilation then heat won't be an issue.

What I would do instead of the vipar, is build a light with 2 foot strips. There are plenty of options to fit your budget, and you'd end up with a better light in the end. Since height will be an issue in your 5 foot tent, I'd rather use a higher number of diodes and run them soft, so you can run them real close to the canopy. The vipar recommends a 22" hanging height, which would leave you with less than 3 ft to grow in.
