It's my first grow and I'm trying to figure out how to know when to harvest... Here's a pick of a bud I snagged off to test out

Not sure if she's done yet

The best way to determine when to harvest is by keeping a close eye on the trichoms, by using a magnifiers observe the trichs until you get about 85% cloudy and 15% amber, that is your window to harvest in its prime. Enjoy

This is the best I could get without a loop... I'm having trouble finding where to buy them ...

take your finger and pinch the buds are they hard to squeeze or really easy. if hard then its getting close to harvest
They're not that squishy but I tried that bud I tested today and it had a funny taste and smell so I don't know if they were ready or not

I'm so scared I'm gonna mess up and cut her down too early... The flowering time said 12 weeks and I'm almost there a couple days into week 11ugh the stress

Do not pinch buds. It doesn't help in evaluating them for harvest, it only bruises them.

Your trichs are still mostly clear. Even without a loop you can see all trich caps are clear. When you detect a balance of clear and amber you can consider harvest. Wait until they are mostly amber for a sleepier high.

I totally think it helps evaluating them for harvest. I always pull a bud off and toss it on a screen with a light bulb under it for four days. Its a good guage of flavor which is the main negative to cutting early. If the strain tastes like hay its going to need a couple more weeks. If its good then the reccomended cut time by the breeder is probably correct. If it tastes great and you get high as hell you can cut right away. My two cents. :)

It's a dominant sativa strain... Part of the haze family... She's on week 12 right now and the recommended time was 12 weeks I posted some pics using the loupe it's a 20x magnification but because this is my first grow I have no idea if what I see is what I'm looking for

Can you just put your phone or lens closer to the loupe when you take the photo? It's magnified but still tiny in the middle of your photos so it's hard to tell.

Getting your lens closer should help you get a shot more like this, where you can see the trichome heads enough to tell:
