nButane in a Can!

Ive seen it. Never touched it. But basically its nothing special. I mean its mostly N-butane but you need some propane in there to help pull alot of the "terps" out.

And its supposed to still have mystery oil in it. Probably a little less than the usual but even newport or power dont have too much so less than that is almost not worth the increased price? Just a different thing for a different market but from what ive found most people say you wanta nice mix.

Itd be good for a small closed loop system if you wanted to add some propane to the mix. What they need to make next is an N-propane version so people can start mixin and matchin til they find a good combo for themselves.

IMO
Capital is okay...

But not worth the price point...
Compare MSDS to Lucienne.....

Of course N-tane is more” Organic”

For 3$ a can Lucienne will remain my choice solvent, unless the MSDS changes.

But, thanks for sharing Chewy!!!
Keep us updated with the run please?

P.S
blast times may take significantly longer....
Without the Propane as a propellant, Propane also tends to extract lighter hues of color...

The resulting extract may be a touch darker.

I'd really like to see a can vs can showdown on the same material.

Thats what ive always thought sir dabs. Once i saw the skunk pharm mystery oil page and saw power had less than vector i was fully convinced. Always used power but always heard people bitch about it and claim vector or some other shit as superior and thats why its more expensive.Fuck that power all the way. Its got a good mix of N to ISO to Propane and is DIRT cheap. Last time i got a case for 24 and free shipping. And thats off amazon/ebay so someones makin a few bucks along the way. Cant imagine if i got fat master cases and pallets like some people. Probably pennies.

I use lucienne as my main go-to can as well dabs! But we will be doing a huge side by side for the Colorado Bud blog using a whole plant in a few months or so, and I figured I would grab some for the trials! Thanks for everybody's feedback! Budbro I have read through the skunk pharm info already prior to purchasing, but thanks.

n-butane is pure, all over marketed canned butane is a mixture of other gases and things that dont act as solvents, thats why. pure n-butane gives you the highest extraction rate per g of liquid gas, you can buy huge tanks at ferrellgas and whatnot. I am interested to hear if these small cans are as pure as the read deal "N-butane" provided by gas companies!

For sure figured you had. I just half believed everyone else when they were talkin shit on power. Finally that shit came out and they all felt stupid for over paying for vector and shit.

Its not as pure as you think. They did a butane distillation with a tank and found even that had mystery oil. Not to say the actual gas within the container isnt pure. Just that theres shit in the container/lines/connections that gets pulled into the tank/butane.

Currently Ronson and Zippo have the lowest recordings. I thought I read ronson had Mercaps in the past? Was that prior to zippo buying them out? I get the info mixed up sometimes!

It depends. I think theres a canadian ronson that has no mercaptans in it and its like 75% N-butane and is hella cheap. I remember someone doing a comparison with it and everyone was bashing them because they thought it was our ronson and then he pulled up the MSDS for them and people were really confused. Its not the normal red cap ronson i think its got a blue or white cap. Thats what the guy kept saying at least. So it might be a zippo ronson.

The ronson on the skunk pharm one though doesnt have mercaptans but i think its just super dirty with the mystery oil. And pretty expensive. They have like 8 oz bottles for 5 bucks around me.

If only butane distillation was easier then everyone could be runnin with really pure shit.

I was thinkin of one way but im not sure it would work. Get some stainless water bottles and fit hoses and shit to them. Blast into one while its surrounded by dry ice, then connect the hose to another one thats empty, drop the empty one in dry ice and the cold one in warm water and slowly boil off the butane into the other one. Leaving all mystery oil behind.

Somethin like 2 of these^^^ with new SS caps and fittings and shit. Kinda like a mini closed loop. Thats what ive always wanted to make really.

Purtane is the cleanest n-butane on the market. It's manufactured in the U.S ensuring the highest standards of purity in the world. Butanes manufactured in Asia and Europe just don't match up.Brands such as Whippet come in a variety levels of purity, from 5x to the premium 12x , but they are still of lower purity that Purtane. Purtane is medical grade n-butane that comes in at over 99.8% contaminent free and was actually designed specifically for bho. It's expensive coming in at about $12 a can in Canada, but do you really use lesser quality, lower grade product in something you intend to ingest?

I used puretane to make some bho recently and while I liked my results, more of the discussions of purging made me rethink my experiment. So i ended up winterizing my bho batches in everclear separately. Get the 191 proof if you decide to try it since this helps purge the butane without an expensive vac. I remember smelling a little bit of butane before winterizing but it wasn't strong. Plus the hash ive been left with is in good shape but it
Does have a dark color but makes me wonder how to get lighter colors. Cure the bud a bit more before blasting. Puretane is 12 bucks at my local store but having only bought one, ive got enough concentrate for the summer.

What type of extractor are you using? How much plant material was used in the process and if after the use of only one 300ml can, you must be quite pleased with the result if your summer's covered.

When it comes to extraction you'll want to use the purest butane available. There are several high quality butanes this is on my opinion the order of purity based on my knowledge as a wholesaler of these products;
Purtane
Whippet premium 12x
Whippet 7x
Whippet 5x
Colobri premium
These range on price from $3 per 400ml can of Colobri and Whippet 5x to $12 per 300ml can of Purtane

Theyre all the same. Youll never get an honestly "high quality" butane from a can. You still want to distill 99.9%+ instrument grade n-butane.

Do yourself and your customers a favor and only sell newport and power 5x. The colibri for $3 a can is a pretty good price so you could keep that.
Id get rid of the rest and never order again. Whippets not terrible, just a little pricey for nothing special. Power 5x is the cleanest in its price range and at times can have lower contaminants than Newport.

Dont believe any of the "99.9% n-butanes" Theyve all been tested and all contain "mystery oil" aka lubricants and machine oils, and most (all) of the time theyre a mix of N-butane, iso-butane, and n-propane. A lot of times theyre just a little bit lower in propane but a mix of N/iso butane which just causes you to have less overall pressure and when youre open blasting you want pressure.

Just trying to help out. Your customers will thank you and youll be spending less on overhead. Ive got some of the test sheets too if you want to see em/need more convincing.
