iv just started growing white russian from seed,seedlings are 3 days old and under flourecent lights when should i start with nutrients and when should i transfer them to the n.f.t setup and the hps lights

I don't know if I would use seedlings in an NFT system, they are better suited for use with rooted cuttings. A seedling puts down a taproot that is the same size as the mainstem above ground. A shallow NFT system doesn't allow enough room for a taproot to grow downward and anchor the plant.

what potroast said pretty much covers it. plus i whouldnt do seeds in an nft because on some the spacing between plants can be abit close depending on how many your putting in and all the rest of it. and if your looking for a keeper plant to keep, it can get overgrown by the others. can result in not finding the keeper. plus i think you have to use the right feed to get the potentcie right up there with hydro. soil you can move each plant around so they all get the same light and then id pick the potent one and take cuts from it and then run those on the nft

a light feed "light" is not going to hurt them. as the rockwool is sterille. it has no nutrients init, untill you add them
