My very first grow, All Organic, 100% CFL's

Hello my fellow Cannabis connoisseurs. I have been active in the community and about a year ago I started to get interested in growing. I spent the next 6 months soaking up as much info as I could.

I read countless books, watched numerous videos. I followed and emailed back and forth with a few YouTube channels. I decided to start my journey and see how it goes. During this grow I went all organic to my knowledge and it's been a journey and a great experience so far.

To get caught up with the images, I had some bag seeds a friend gave me from what he said is called Bubblegum. It was very smooth and sweet and I was happy to start my project.

I had 4 of these plants growing and 2nd week into flower I had to get rid of my plants so I was forced to clone. I took 12 clones, 3 from each plant at the base of the plant, closest to the soil. I didn't cut at a 45 degree angle, I just cut them, trimmed them up, cut them right below the node vs. above. I put all the clones in water. I then dipped each clone into aloe vera and then straight into rockwool cubes. Each cube was in a humidity dome sitting on a heating pad. The stats inside the done were 80-90F and 75-80%RH. I had 2 (23w), 200w equivalent 3-4 feet away shinning on it 18/6. I sprayed inside the done every 3 days with RO water. I saw roots after 12 days.

Many clones turned brown and died. 5 made it.. started to turn yellow. NOW FAST Forward.

I transplanted clones from rockwool to 2 gallon pots using Mykos mycorrhizal inoculant and vegged them for 6 weeks.
6/29/2017, I have 4 Bubble Gum clones 6 weeks into flower and a Querkle seed 1 week in flower. The Querkle plant was put into 5 gallon pot and 4 BG clones put into 5 gallon pots too, just before flower.

I vegged and transplanted into new soil right before flower.

The Querkle plant from seed was vegged just 3 weeks and I tied it down, tried some LST. If you have any questions please ask, I will answer them all!

I am growing these 4 Bubble Gum clones and 1 Querkle seed in Fox Farm Ocean Forrest Soil. I have a fan blowing at all times since seed, since transplant, all day, all night, never stops.

For my first grow I decided to start with CFL's and make my own grow lights. I have Querkle that is 1 week in flower, showed it's sex (thank God) female. I have 10x23w1600lumen/2,700 CFL's on her. On the 4 clones I make 2 domes that hold 16 bulbs each. 2 plants per light. So, 32*23watt.. 736 watts and 51,200 lumens for 4 plants. I use a trellis net and tried to make an even canopy.

I vegged with 6,500K 23w/1,600 lumen CFL's.

My grow in a 4x3x6 tent, on top of a card table and I can lower and raise the lights. With CFL's I did my best to always keep the bulbs just 3-6 inches away at all time. My high temps were 85, low of 65. Veg humidity was aways 45-50% and so far 50% in all of flower. Some days 45%.

The smell is not bad at all.

I water when they soil is dry 1 inch down. I wait I use 1 gallon of RO water, mixed with 1 tbsp Maxicrop liquid seaweed and 1 tbsp unsulphered organic molasses pH 'ed 6.5-7. I get 6.8 most of the time. I use lemon juice to lower to PH and baking soda to raise the PH. With 2 weeks left in flower I just water with RO water each watering to flush the plant of NPK before harvest.

I topped them a few times, snapped branches, tried different things. The Querkle seed has been tied down to let the middle catch up and create new growth and only 5 inches tall. The 4 BubbleGum clones are 30 inches. I love this new idea of growing short and wide, especially for a lighting technology that requires the tops to be so close. Enough talk, here are the pics! What do you think and thanks for having me! Glad to be a new member!

Not bad for CFL? I'm excited for my first time but I'm down for comments!

Here is my Querkle seed. I have done more with this one as I have been learning.

I very impressed, I should've done my research before I started. I'm on my first grow n it's pretty bad. I did everything wrong, it won't happen again. Lol here's my poor sickly plants.
My next grow will be with hempy buckets n cfl's. IMG_20170725_114741.jpg IMG_20170725_114752.jpg IMG_20170725_114810.jpg IMG_20170725_115331.jpg IMG_20170725_143424.jpg with 400 watts I'm getting a little over 1000 lumens at the base of my plants. I don't know if that's good or bad.
Oh, my White Widow lives outside. Lol

CMH and LED put out similar brightness but have a better spectrum so the plants can use more of the light... they all run hot based on watts though.

i would probably put a 600w LED about 3-4 feet off the plants but a 300w maybe 2.5-3 feet.. just depends on how big of a footprint you need.
