My Vert Grow Plan...... Please Review and Correct Me

So here's the plan.

- 2x600w HPS

- 3@5g DWC buckets with 1 plant each. Buckets on dolleys. I need to keep plant count low.

- V-SCROG screen attached to dolleys. The vertical screen will have either bent PVC or wood cut to give 24" arc on a roughly 24" diameter. When pushed together should give me about a total 360 degree +- an inch or so.

- 6" ducting with vortex fan and carbon scrubber.

- Temperature controlled 20" fan oriented vertically toward the ceiling in the middle of the grow. Place the thermocouple about mid way up the screen.

Veg for 4-6 weeks until screens are 1/2 full then flip. Orient light horizontally during 1st week of flower to induce stretch.

Any suggestions for improvement? Thanks

I'd just pick your strain carefully. sativas seem to do alot better on bigger vert scrogs afaik. Been thinking of trying another one with killing fields at some point. I would veg horizontal under fairly weak light to get alot of stretch. then put it on the screen and flip. It will fill out a lot during the stretch.

I've got BC Big Bud seeds on hand. I think it's indica heavy... I'll try a different strain next. I think I have a 150w from an old coral propagation tank I could use, just keep it far away to make the plants stretch during veg or use the 600 with more distance?

My experience was with an indica dom odessy clone that i have grown several times. It grew really well but just never filled out. tons of small fluffy popcorn. normaly it grows fist sized, dense nugs. The sativa dom og clone i grew it with usualy has alot of smaller nugs but has always been a low yielding plant for me. It pretty much grew cola over the entire plant, much higher yield.

If its indica dom single cola type plant it might not respond well to vert scrog type grow. only done 1 vert run so far tho so idk. It might just be a quirk of that clone.
