My trash cans disappeared.....could it have been Leo?

I live in an area with private trash collection and the other day I put out the large bins that the company provides and when I came home they were gone. It worries me that out of all my neighbors, mine were taken. Would police take the whole bins with them? There was nothing in them of any concern but it does worry me. My other theory is someone didn't want to pay for trash service and so took my bins so the garbage men will pick up their trash. The drivers don't know what house actually are client but just empty the cans that have the company name on them. Any help would be appreciated.

When I lived in MD the trash company would pick up the bins every so often to have them cleaned.

lol.. could be the cops.. but usually they will just take ur bins.. dump it out into a bag and leave the bin.. so u have no clue.. or if uir really big time.. they will talk to the trashguys. and they will take it . put on a tarp in the trash truck and drop it off to the cops around the corner.. honestly... or u will lhave DTs.. take your trash bags.. and leave and search it.. so .. if ur tossing grow trash out. be smart..

COMPOST EVERYTHING COMPOSTABLE.. reuse what u can.. and then anything grow related.. burn it in the backyard.. or bag it in trash bags with nothing related to u in the trashbags at all.. so u can say someone must of dropped there bag in my trash bin.. be smarttttttttttttttt

What makes you think so? My garbage service not only knows who the active customers are, they make a note if you don't put your trash out. That way when you call and complain that your garbage wasn't picked up, they look at the list and remind you that you didn't put it to the curb.

Very possible that cops took it. I think that what they do in my area is swap out the container. There is a pickup truck with trailer that drives around replacing defective containers early in the morning. Simple matter for them to grab your garbage, container and all, for LEO and leave an empty container for you.

Shut everything down and mail all of your finished product to me, I will destroy it slowly and carefully. I doubt that the cops are going through your garbage unless you are big time.

I agree with the consensus, LEO wouldn't tip their hand like that. If you had nothing of concern in there, call the trash co and see if they know anything. Bins are expensive, it won't be out of place to inquire about them.
