We had a DEA, and IRS raid on over 8 dispensaries and medical offices and no one even mentioned it here. They came in and took anything they wanted, money, meds, cell phones, computers, medical information. One office they broke into had not one piece of marijuana, of anything federally illegal and they took thousands of medical records. Too bad nobody cares that our rights are getting trampled all over.

Oh yeah did I mention not one person was arrested, sounds more like robbery than police work.

I know this state has huge voids in it's laws and that is our fault, but come on man, some of these places can't get back open, or are scared..........Sorry for venting JR

I live in Nevada but I'm 450 miles away from Vegas. Nevada is a big state - I don't think people realize there are other cities besides Vegas. :-P

The raid was mentioned here in this thread. I agree that things could be better coordinated and communication about stuff is not very good and could also use to be improved. Change is slow and it's hard to see that anything is getting accomplished but things are moving forward imo.

Lets stop failing to remember that with all the medical RIGHTS you THINK you have that MJ is federally illegal.

I have not failed to remember anything. I'm well aware of what the federal law is and how it conflicts with state laws. Most of the people I know are also aware of this conflicting fact. I may be engaging in illegalities as far as the feds go but I'm 100% legal as far as the state is concerned. Can you explain to me why in all the raids that occurred in Vegas not one person was charged or arrested?

I imagine some light will be shed real soon as soon as they search through all the records they confiscated. Could be as simple as making sure patients and dispenseries are following the rules.

Lets hope thts all they do. And i haven't forgotten about the rest of Nevada. It's just Vegas is the only part of the state tht i have lived in so its the only part i can really speak on.

Presumably they had search warrants and gave detailed receipts for all the confiscated property and records.
Maybe a phone call enquiring about the confiscated property would give you some answers ... or not.

Yeah call them right up and ask if you can help them with their investigation.

I can't help but notice how the general public has been conditioned to fear the federal level.

We are still "the people"......we just tend to fall prey to government out of control, or rather, having too much control.

Go to federal conspiracy trial and tell the judge that. PS ask him how they manage a 93% convction rate.

It's probably "or not". Everything is sealed.
Are any of you concerned that your medical records and NV Medical marijuana could now be in the hands of the Feds? I was planning on heading to LV over the holidaze to get my medicinal license, but after reading the news stories, posts, and such, I'm a bit fearful of the loss of anonymity....I guess it's worth the risk either way....or not?

Patients like myself are part of a state registry - I figured the feds already know about me. That's not the part that concerns me. The patients rights that were violated - now that concerns me a lot! You must be planning a very long holiday. It takes awhile to become a patient in Nevada.

Point taken, thanks for your input. I've read up on the process, and looks like I have to go to Vegas for a doctor's recommendation as there are no doctors in Northern Nevada that do., unless you have a referral?
