I'm currently developing my own grow room (well grow closet i should say).
Heres what I have on my list now:
(1) 2 100watt MH flood lamps
(2) 2 100watt MH bulbs
(3) 1 8oz bottle of miracle-grow liquid all purpose plant food (12-4-
(4) 1 8oz bottle of schultz cactus plus liquid plant food (2-7-7)
(5) 1 HoldALL moisture, light, and pH meter
(6) 1 8.5 inch thermometer
(7) 1 schultz take root rooting hormone
( 1 intermatic 12 hour spring wound in-wall timer
9) 2 5 plastic tray plant containers
(10) 10 11 gallon pots
(11) 1 2 socket fluorescent lamp
(12) 2 fluorescent tube lights
(13) 3 large bags of neutral pH soil
Basically heres is how my grow op works:
The plastic plant containers will by in a row of 2 with 5 in each row. That makes 10 plants. The trays themselves measure out to 4 x 4 x 2.5 (inches). The trays will be put under 1 4ft dual tubed fluorescent lamp for the vegetative stage.
During the vegetative stage the plants will receive the miracle-grow liquid all purpose plant food (which NPK value is 12-4-8 so its high in nitrogen which will promote a higher chance of a female, give bigger leaves, and a thicker stalk.) The vegetative stage will go on for 5-6 weeks and then the 10 plants will be moved into flowering. The light will be on 24/0 for vegetative.
During the early flowering weeks, the plant will receive the schultz cactus plus liquid plant food (which NPK value is 2-7-7 so it has higher amounts of potassium and phosphorus) and they will receive that for the first 6 weeks into flowering. The last 2 weeks will be regular water with no more nutrients. The light will be on 12/12 via the 12 hour timer for flowering.
During the entire time, a thermometer will record the heat and a pH meter will detect the soil pH (making sure it stays neutral) and testing the moisture in the air. Adjustments will be made when needed. Also, a fan will be ran for 5 minutes every other hour during vegetative and ran for 5 minutes every 4 hours in flowering
Then i will harvest the plants and cure for 2 weeks before smoking. I will take pictures and start a grow journal when im ready. It should be fun.
I need to build some kind of air filtration system but i cant seem to find the charcoal canister.
I will be growing 5 different types of strains (so 2 of each hoping they all will be females) and cuttings will be made when the plants are ready.
Is there anything im forgetting? Any recommendations?
