My Plants Are Not Growing Well

Hi everyone,

My name is Stacey and I am just started trying to grow some plants. I used some seeds I found in some bud. Its winter at the moment. I got them to sprout in a wet folded up face washer, then I transplanted them into soil. I used seed raising and potting mix. The problem is that they are now about 3 weeks old but they don't seem to be growing much. They are in a pot beside the window sill. I have been looking at other peoples plants and mine seem very behind. Can anyone suggest anything? Do you think they are not getting enough sun or should I be using fertilizer? I have attached some pics. The biggest one is probably about 6cm tall.

pm me for answers. there is not enough information. ur plants should be recieving light for 18 -24 hours of light a day for at least 3 weeks. u shouldn't add ferts till the 3rd or 4th week.coz the plant has used all the goodness up in the soil. but.... u plants are still so tiny so looks like it aint got enough light to grow. i see this is ur 1st post so congrats for gettin this far. good luck. the only thind i'd say is read the grow faq. it will get u on ur way but for good results u need to upgrade ur set up.the way urs is going its gonna take a lifetime!!!

hope tyhis helps ..

1) I would put some CFL's over them. Get a timer and put them on 18/6. Read the GrowFaq for more information on lighting. Your plants are really stretched. They should start growing at a good pace once they are getting adequate light.

2) Do not even think of touching a bottle of ferts yet. Not until your plants are around 3 weeks old.

How about until they look 3 weeks old? Mine are a couple days younger and have to be at least 7 inches tall.
