I tied down Thelma and she is still growing. I'm going to veg her for a while as I added another white widow in the mix. Pics to come!

If your tent was as hot as it is now, nearly 90 degrees, that is probably a major reason your hydro went south! If you flower that soil plant out in 90 degree heat it will suffer as well. Sure you'll get buds but they'll be fox tailed and less resinous. Not trying to bust on you, just I've had a lot of heart ache from high temps. Hell I'm dealing with it too, I just set up a 3x3x6 with a 400w hps and 4" can fan and it's still at 85-89 degrees in there so I'll probably have to go back to my 6" exhaust fan which is overkill but better than roasted buds. Cheers and good luck

PS 90f is not minimal heat, ideally its 70-75 range

Actually it's 86 degrees in my tent. If you visit my last thread u will see that the grow turned out well. It wasn't in a tent it was in a box with CFLS and the reason it wasn't as potent was Bc I pruned too much. Had nothing to do with heat. And my tent is at a perfect 86 degrees. Also I had it on 400 watts and my air was off. It's now at 250 watts. And also I just put it in there and hadn't exhausted it correctly. Air conditioning is fixed so the plants will be fine. By the time I flower, it will be cold outside and I never close the tent completely unless at night. I have this covered thanks tho for the input.

image.jpeg image.jpeg Tied her down and her 3 mains got tied along with some more bud sites after pic. Even canopy. 87 degrees. Took off just a few fans to let new bud sites get light. Will stop 2 weeks before flower. 150 watts Mh. Fed with Maxibloom, a little GH Flora gro and some Co2. Ph 6.8. Louise is in there too in the back she has sprung up and is ready to go. Had her first meal of flora micro and flora gro. Tiny tiny amount. Still confused as when to water Thelma Bc her soil isn't dry but it isn't wet but the pot is very heavy so I'm waiting on feeding.

image.jpeg image.jpeg Well, I had to put Louise in her own little veg box Bc she was stretching and I HATE stretching. Thelma is doing good, tied her down more and just topped a couple of more places to keep her canopy flat. 2 more weeks and she will be flipped. 2 months of veg seems cool with me...

image.jpeg So here she is. Almost 7 weeks. I'm going to let her run at 400 mh until 8 pm then I'll let her start her flower at 8 am. I think she is ready. I don't want her to become root bound.

Here are the girls. I've been running Thelma under 250 to 400 watts Bc the weather is warm and cool. She gets maxibloom, hydrogaurd, and about 1.5 ml of liquid koolbloom. I'm using rainwater so I added a little calcium and mag and zinc. She is big and I can't count the tops. Louise is doing good too. I use a little gh micro and gh floragro and rainwater. Running under cfls for now. Going to let her go just straight up and not lst. image.jpegimage.jpeg

I love that kitty kat man! Id say quick growers who like bag appeal herbs go ahead and grow hydro. those who want top shelf terpenes, greasey nuggets of outstanding tastes id say should go soil organics utilizing rock dusts etc. ya gotta get your hands dirty man.
My friend, you are totally right...

Rofl copters how you gonna sterilize that media next posts will be about bugs and shit if yu think soil is best that leads me to believe you have yet to try soilless mix witch is considered hydro and gives me more flavorful nugss and as far as flavor and resin that is genetic this is science people I try to stay away from this sight for this reason 95% of the time it's the blind leading the blind in circles
I did hydro last time. Too much work and not a great taste. I prefer soil Bc it's just easier for me.

This is how I grow, even use the same nutes. The first few grows weren't great and checking pH and ppm was a pain but after a few grows I figured it out and use the same nute mix and never check the numbers.

I recently tried using peat soil/soilless and failed because I didn't know what I was doing. I think hydro might actually be easier to learn because you have more control, if you mess something up, you can just dump the res and try again you don't need to flush, hope it's clean, and hope you fixed it.

I also like hydro better because it's cleaner, you don't have to buy and dispose of or recycle dirt. I just pour the water down the toilet when I'm done.
You are right about that. Soil does get a little messy. And it takes a little longer to see if u jacked up somewhere and takes longer to fix it.

I know a guy that does hydro, and he's very, very good at it. He gets simply stunning results.

The issue though is that it cost about 100 times as much as what I do does. He'll spend more on nutrients in one grow than I will in 10. He'll spend more money on upkeep and cleaning and water than I will.

It's truly outrageous how much money he spends doing it. For me, that's the turnoff right there.

But he does get amazing results. Truly, he does.
Yes, when u live in a small hick town with no hydro store and all I have is Walmart and some feed stores u unfortunately have to go on Amazon and overnight a nute u night desperately need in hydro. For instance I had to get a small bottle of micro sent and it was like $50. Bummer.

Going way off topic...back to the AK 47... if you know this strain and it is a true AK47 then HI-5. I run this one all the time. I keep going back to it... super smooth with a heady/spacey high that loosens the muscles just enough. And yields big. Hope you have a good run with it.
So far so good! I agree. My boyfriend had horrible back pain and doesn't take pain medicAtion Bc it's so addictive and really doesn't help. The AK helps him so much.
