My house on fire????

yeah, Ive talked to plenty of people and even had them come to my house and tell me what they smelled "it smells like something was burning" yeah, no shit!! lol

theres no smell outside or at any neighbors' houses... only that room now

Ive almost eliminated everything..... still need to get the ballst checked, this might be the only time anyone would ever say this but, I hope that the ballast is bad

the equipment was used and I pulled it apart last night.... there is a slight burny smell but its not the same smell as what is in the house, maybe when its on it would though.....not sure on that note.... ship it!

GraF, bro I wish you the best of luck. Worse case scenerio I would put that plant outside. I bet that thing get's to be over 10 ft. tall.

Is your furnace/ac forced air, possibly electric start but gas fired. You could just have some dust or dirt in your returns possibly even hair(human or dog) burning inside the hvac.

yeah, I wouldnt mind doing that but I wouldnt want to stress it out though, Im in the midwest, being that said, I think it would revert back to veg- I think.....

This hashappened to me on several occassions and freaked me out.

So check your furnace.

yeah, I know what you mean, we usually get that when we fire up our furnace for the first time of the year..... but we ruled out the AC since we had it running all day yesterday- smell didnt come back.

The only 2 possibilites are...

1. ballast

2. wiring from THAT room...

the smell has not come back since everything has been unplugged in that room.... so we difinately know that!! which is good....... but bad.

well the thing is, in my eyes at this point, its not really a fucking around situation, sorry for actin that way but you gotta understand what I mean

I will have and update in 15min about whether or not the ballast is bad.....

UInfortunately, at this point, I hope it is just a fried ballast and nothing else. Better a ballast than something larger.

yes but a ballast going bad is no reason to act like a butt hole.
