Neem oil works best when it's absorbed by the plant and leaf eating insects will not eat it. However, it takes weeks for it to be effective. Check for spider mites. I have both on my outdoor grow and I could go nuts.

Since spraying I haven't seen any new bite marks. I've looked high and low for any critters and can't find them. I have a few more weapons in my arsenal if they come back.

I'm going to continue the neem oil spray every two or three days for a while though.

Started the switch to 12/12 on August 3rd and now my babies are really kicking into gear! During the stretch they more than doubled in size within about 10 days and are already budding very nicely. No more pests, but lower fan leaves are dying and falling off likely due to the lower light towards the bottom of the canopy. Classic 150w problems haha

Despite widely varying opinions I also decided to try out Advanced Nutrients base nutes since the FF have rather failed to impress me. The PH perfect stuff seems to be doing a very nice job and I'm still testing runoff to be sure. Currently rocking around 6.3PH for both plants runoff consistently. I think next grow I will continue to try more AN products since the price tag does not bother me.

AK48 started as a very indica looking plant being short and bushy, but going into flower its acting like a sativa. I was worried for a bit about running out of vertical room. Both plants are shy of 3ft tall.

I'll post some more pics up next week for week 6 since switch. Thank you all for your kind words! I'll be feeding one last time this week and then onto just ph'd water for the last 1.5 - 2 weeks

6 weeks since switch, 5 weeks into flower. The top fan leaves are yellowing and dying. I can't tell if it's nute burn or some deficiency but being this late I have switched to ph'd water and will keep it that way until harvest in 2ish weeks.

Hey everyone! I'm entering the last weekish of my grow. I fucked up pretty hard and got really bad claw on my second plant around 2 weeks ago and it just absolutely wrecked bud production. Disappointing but you live and you learn. If I get 2 ounces of bud I'll be extremely happy but I have this feeling it will be closer to 1oz or 1.5oz.

Obviously being my first grow I won't be good at eyeballing yield but once I get the wet weight I'll be able to take a good guess.

What's poppin' party people? My plants are doing great but do to moving apartments I will be chopping a half week-week earlier than I'd like. White pistils just keep popping out of these gals but they are hard and dense buds. Trichomes are 70% cloudy and 30% clearish. I'm giving them until Thursday or Friday so I have reduced my lights to 9 light/15 dark to trick them into thinking it's late fall. On wednesday I will be turning the lights off to give them a good 24-48 hour dark period and then will chop.

I have 62RH Bovida Humidipaks to assist with my cure once the initial drying is completed and have a bunch of small hygrometers for my mason jars.

You can clearly see the heat stress at the top fan leaves from growing so close to the light. Ultimately AK48 has been a very hardy strain. I highly recommend it for beginners.
