I'm surprised CanniMed has even a single patient after the gong show that was PPS. They basically tried to poison everyone while under contract with Hellth Canada. Growing schwag in an abandoned mine, having product test positive for heavy metals and all sorts of other shit. Irradiated and milled for YOUR benefit at only $9.00 a gram now!

Those are the discounted prices.. its unbelievable to think anyone could afford that....
single handed way to cut anyone's med qtys by about half....almost seems like a premeditated stroke of the pen...way
that HC does business...
they (HC) set(predicted) the price to be average 8.80 per gram...and that's what it is....
Price fixing at its finest.....
Add the taxes and shipping costs on their cheapest strain and basically you are buying your medicine at a higher price than the BM. This new program is suppose to make mmj affordable and accessible. A sad time for patients and LPs to jump in this new program, good luck to everyone out there. Stay medicated!

Thanks for the heads up guys i will definately keep this all in mind.
Im still going to meet this dr and ask a whack of questions before i sign or do anything.
I will not pay a nickel for meds that are already ground up. I would tell a street dealer to go fuk himself if he handed me a bag of dust.
Those prices are exactly the reason theres so many of us canadians on forums and in grow shops.

The one thing i cant get my head around is how a lawyer doesnt use those prices to argue in court about it being reasonably accessible.
If my script is for even 3 grams a day then it would cost me 900 a month lol
Thats more than half of what i live on every month.
What judge in their right mind would consider that reasonable?

BM is the cheapest shit there is going today!!! By FAR! So much cheaper, it's friggin ludicrous anyone true patient buys from an LP. Specially If they're capable!!!

Affordability argument is a major component of the challenge.
The government has said that it is not obliged to provide mmj at an affordable price. If a patient cannot afford mmj then they should go to their doctor and get a prescription for an alternative medicine...their words not mine.

The same tests that showed high levels of heavy metals in PPS pot showed high levels of biological impurities prior to gamma irradiation. Tests showed abnormally high levels of aerobic bacteria – more than 1000 times that of organic cannabis tested the same way. Tests also showed "dangerously high levels of molds, including penicillium and aspergillus," CSA said, of which "HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis-C, and cancer sufferers may be particularly vulnerable to."
That's why they irradiate. Don't worry it's as safe as tobacco.

"Gamma irradiation is a controversial decontamination technique that has never been studied for safety in smoked or inhaled products anywhere in the world," CSA wrote in its letter. "Although it effectively destroys most bacteria, it does not destroy viruses or mycotoxins, and is often used to cover up biological contamination resulting from poor production, processing or handling practices. One of the bi-products of gamma irradiation is the production of Unique Radiolytic Products, which are a new class of chemicals resulting from irradiations that are not otherwise found in nature. Of significance in the gamma irradiation of whole plant cannabis is the potential production of cyclobutanones, which are toxic, carcinogenic chemicals that form when fats are subjected to gamma irradiation, and which have been directly linked to the development of colon cancer in rats. In addition, gamma irradiation has been shown to destroy terpenes like myrcene and linalool, which have known therapeutic properties and are found in high concentrations in some strains of whole-plant cannabis."
Doctors in this country probably don't want to prescribe more based on Health Canads production practices then the actual effectiveness of Cannabis.

The government can say what ever they want!
If they say they arent obligated to make it affordable than they better let people grow their own.
Any other meds my dr prescribes are covered by benefits so the cost is moot.
This whole thing is such a headache.

Im going to tell the dr that i need it now even more to get rid of all the anxiety and drama with just getting the script i dont even want to think about all the bs that comes after it.

Most doctors in canada dont sign because they arent getting kick backs yet from the lps.
Soon enough every dr everywhere will sign because they will be getting cheques.

My dr doesnt heaitate to up my perks and even tried to convince me to try pain patches. My moms friend works at my drs office and she said its because the company that makes the pain patch bought him a boat lol.

Ah, I see. So the problems were 10 years ago not today. I read the link, thank you! I noticed it didn't actualyy state numbers for the lead and arsenate. Could these not be in the pesticides everyone uses for farming? Regardless, It would be good to see current day testing for your concerns by a lab. The taste is not so bad for me but it is for vaprozing unit and for the CBD and it is working well it seems. Thank you again for the link, sorry to bother.

I'm sure they have their shit together now.
They did have problems in the early days.
Some of the problems they had in the past are due to HC influence. For example they grew a very weak tasteless strain because that's what HC wanted to provide the patients. They had problems growing in the mine, again because that's where HC wanted it grown. So it wasn't all PPS's fault.

I'm glad it's working for you.
