My 35 day old mid-grade plants- any suggestion

okay, i have moved my "string bean" closer to the cfl, it is looking better, growing leaves quicker and better looking in the last 48 hours ive seen improvement, im keeping my other 2 as well, but i am also germinating new seeds so what are some suggestions for my new plants/

Im a newbie as well and i understand your frustration. I would be really mad if that had happened to my babies, however i agree the lighting isn't quite sufficiant to say the least. I am using cfl bulbs and i am doing better then you are. You need to move your lights closer to your plants and you need more lumens on your plants. They make 23 watt cfls with 1600 lumens per bulb it is like putting a 100 watt bulb on your plant. try getting some of them. Plants LOVE light and NEED it to grow. My plants are only 2 weeks old and they are pretty good i have 4 of those bulbs on my plants putting out 6400 lumens and in one day i can see a huge difference in my main baby. so try that adn see if it helps if it doesn't i am really really sorry for your loss if it does then great and keep us posted.
I am curious to see if they pull threw with more light on them.
the more light the better and a fan is great keep in going with that.

go to home depot and get a 70 dollar hps security light that would help more than anything

instead of using forks, tye it up with some soft dental floss or like nylon, anything soft that wont cut the otherwise soft and undeveloped stems.. that will help it develop strength. get a lil fan to constantly blow on them at the lowest settings, or get an oscilating 1 and just leave it. get some good pottin soil (any from the nearest plant store will do fine, just make sure its got no time release fertalizer, unless ya dig that shit n arent going to use any ferts)

o ya my first baby looks just like yours, i tied it up nice and put it in the sunlight, then after a few weeks it went underneath a 600w HPS and grew into a massive 8 foot tall female

but ya they are right, its too tall for any CFL... if ya got a HPS it'd be okay, but the plant is doomed underneath CFLs

well i want to ACE hardware n saw 42watt cfls, 9.99 a piece, they put off 2700 lumens each which is a suitable amount of light for the plant correct, a lil low but okay, then also im gonna buy a powerstrip wif a timer to set my timer to 12-12 when i try to flower, but i wont need that for awhile, but besides that i need 20 bucks n ill have better lighting., i moved the plants alot closer to the lights about 1 inch, i hope to see a different, mny tall plant looks really healthy for its strecthed state, thanks for all the help,. keep up with suggestions thankyou.

2700lumens...you mean kelvins? if it's 2700k then that's still too dim unless you want another stretched plant. 6500k for veg. and 2700k for flowering.

well idk I guess you could put then all on 1 plant and it might work. But I don't see why you don't just grow outside if you can't get lights?

Look,a couple of things,first you need to get that "mid grade" mindset out of your head,thats some bullshit made up by people who sell weed & seed suppliers,as long as the weed you got the seeds from was good its possible to grow buds from them thats every bit as good as the stuff they call crips or dro or any of them other stupid names,its mostly about how you grow & take care of the plant.

Commercial growers dont just wake up one day & decide to grow some "mids" for the hell of it,they plant good seed with good genetics & if they didnt you'd know because the weed they came from would be shit weed,right ?

Next you need more light & not some silly little lights that are laying around,if you cant get a HID light & you are dead set on using CFL's then you need a shit load of them,figure 10 lights to start with,yes 10 lights,no less.

After that you need to read the grow faq on this site,its worth it to spend the time,you'll gain more wisdom there then you'll ever get asking questions.

Leave the fertilizers alone,do not give your plant any food until its well into the veg stage,you will only stunt its growth or kill the plant.

Get a ph test kit & a bottle of ph up & a bottle of ph down,read the grow faq on how to use them,moderator & member Garden Knome has an excellent tutorial on how to correctly ph your water.

Get a real fan & toss the humidifier in the basement.

I am not trying to be a dick but i dont like to pull any punches,the way your grow looks right now & with the equipment you currently have you dont stand a chance of growing a healthy plant,let alone raise that plant to the point of getting buds to smoke.

Step 1 = Grow Faq.

Step 2 = Real grow equipment.

Step 3 = Read Grow Faq again.

Put ur lights / plants 2 inches from the top of ur plant and it will stop streaching and start growing more well cfl? soo 3to 4 inches if its hot

The brown spots is a very clear indication of overwatering obiously you have no clue what you are doing so just get a book and read it like everybody else did that really want to grow weed. Get real lights and keep the soil moist (not soaked) due to the fact that your little bitch plant are still seriosly rooting instead of vegging out.

seriously in the grow world more than anything else knowledge is power.

Trust me, you'll probably find it pretty interesting and maybe have some fun reading it. I know i did. Better yet do that and get a grow guide off of amazon. Ppl like to dis on Jorge Cervantes sometimes but his guide is legit if you need a recommendation.
