I'm kinda late as usual. Just found out what happened to your house.

Holy shit.

I send you my sympathies and hope that you recover quickly from your misfortune. Hopefully, you will start growing again. No, you must. The quality of your first grow commands it.;-)

Day 2 from seed  4/23/16 8:30 pm GROW #3!

I'm back!!! New house, new garage and new grow!
20160422_175700_Pano-1.jpg

Started 7 seeds of Strain Hunters Skunk Auto fems in some water last night for 24 hours in a solo cup and soaked my rapid rooters in pHed tap water for 24 hours in a bucket.

Then today put together my tent as I was going to miss out on the northern Cali 4/20 BBQ

Tent is back in action!20160423_115007-1-1.jpg

Also for those that have been following here are some shots of the Afghani regs at 40 days old and outdoors now that I gave to my friend.

Day 5 from seed  4/26/16 8:00 pm Success!

Everything has germed and is popping. With one even showing true leaves! I was thinking my heat mat wasn't working either!

I will need to clean my tray after this run with some dish soap and bleach.

Day 10 from seed  5/1/16 12:00 am Slow goes

I overwatered after transplanting my seeds and should of just added some water while mixing my perlite to my Recipe 420 soil. So the growth seems slow to me and I'm letting my pots dry out some.

I also changed my light to 75% of 600 watts so thats about 450 for my babies at a 18 inch height. Hope they don't stretch much.

Day 12 from seed  5/3/16 11:00 pm Growth

I overwatered the 5 gallon pots .....great. Letting them dry for a couple days before watering. I'll be moving the solo seedlings in a day or so to prevent further stretching.

1 through 7:

5 gallons

Day 13 from seed  5/4/16 8:30 pm Solos Transplant

Moved the 2 solos numbers 5 and 6 into 5 gallons with a bit of pHed water. Learned that I need to make solo cup holes a bit bigger to drain better next time.

I expect them to start going bushy nuts over the next 15 days.

Day 21 from seed  5/12/16 6:00 pm

I messed up the counts on my days lol... Darn copy & paste.

Any who... I had little white fungus gnats flying around. So I googled and found a solution I can achieve quickly and on the cheap before they wreck havoc on my roots...Perlite

Nice man, I generally do that too, but only because it looks nicer in photos than soil! Luckily never had problems with pests so far - although I've just set up a coco hempy in the tent, so I'm sure fungus gnats are on their way!

Yeah i had about 10 or 15 white gnats I was trying to swat and kill and then bigger black ones popped up outta no where! I quickly Googled and seen the perlite idea, which instantly gave me results!

As a bonus your right on pictures, it brightened up the tent and washes out blacks to make the camera adjust to the MH bulb.

Just looked into hempy grow methods and you have peeked my interests. Just some water draining medium and you water with your nutes to a drain table? Are you draining to waste? Can you reuse the RO and drip cycle it back through like a DWC?

To be honest man, I'm only just dipping my toe into hempys myself, so I'm not sure. It seemed the easiest, simplest way to transition to hydro, with a bonus of less frequent waterings. I'm draining to waste, but obviously there's a 2" reservoir of nutes at the bottom of the bucket, so maybe just over a litre of feed left in there, being wicked up by the coir. As for reusing the runoff, again I'm unsure - the reservoir is already full and the medium isn't going to hold any more, so not sure it would be worthwhile. The runoff should effectively be a mini-flush in essense, rinsing any salt build ups and aerating the medium, and rotating the nutrient resevoir.

My hempy set up cost me £3.12 :) I'm running Canna Coco A&B as a nutrient regime, thought I'd be nicer to the hempy experiment than use my poundshop/dollar store nutrients (to be fair, they have seen me through very well in soil).

Sick
