I am thinking of playing music in my tents. I plan on playing male musicians like Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5,Frank Sinatra and some Meditation/Spa relaxation music in my female tent.
I am planning on Rhianna, Madonna and a few Reggae/Dancehall musicians in my male tent.
has anyone grown with music? I have read an article where it said the vibrations from the music stimulated the plants. It also said Rock n Roll was not a positive effects.
Just throwing this out there.

One will be a 6 disc rotating CD player on continuous rotation while the lights are on. One will be a computer (I-Tunes) set to time with lights on.

Not this round at the moment. I am working on setting up a few medical grows for three different peeps so will do that with same strains/seeds. Will be starting off with Wake of the Dragon seeds from Strayfox (24 seeds) and a few Katsu Bubba's x Blueberry Temple (10 seeds).
I did always play music and smoke with my outdoor girls and they seemed to enjoy EDM, Reggae, and every once in a while Bagpipes.

If your plants are like mine they aint going to like that shit selection of tunes...!

From experience i'm going to tell you that you need some east coast west coast rivalry going down in the veg room, when you step in you need to feel that vibe, were talking none other than Tupac vs The Notorious B.I Mutherfuckig G. Alternate their songs in rap battle mode that you can download from itunes as an app, just go to their site and enter in 'rap battle playback app' and it should be near the top on the first page. With this type of setup i want speakers covering just one wall of the grow tent, the idea is to make a wall of sound that just keep hitting those leaves with every beat, this is going to average out your transpiration gradients on your leaves nicely and play it 24/0 no breaks.

For the flower room your going to have to step that shit up, nothing but hard drum and base, certain techno tracks work wonders in the last two weeks for the final swell before harvest but were not talking that pussy type of soft techno, it needs to be mashed hard with the drum n base and bpm of 130 or over. This ones different in speaker placement, you got to cover every corner with a speaker and your going to want at least 2 400w subs at canopy level, the idea here is the sound hits those leaves from all angles and the canopy gets some extra bass to really push heat Co2 and leaf cooling gradients.

Some say its not needed but i like to start my seeds off with a little 21 pilots just to promote rooting and ease them in. I never saw much increase but my thinking is it will harden them off come transplant to the veg room. Another not needed thing i do is play 'Ode to remembrance' when i cut down the final harvest, it seems fitting that at the going down of the sun we shall still remember the fallen at the time of the finished cure and smoke.

Past harvest there is no scientific reason to play music to the bud, some have tried but reported that it was just a waste of electricity, maybe i'll leave that one for others to try as i doubt any kind of sonic frequency will speed up the dry and cure that i know of. Anyway i hope this is helpful and like me you found the extra 0.1% increase in yield well worth the noise complaints from the neighbors and police :-)

if i were going to play any music in my growing area it would probably be classical composers. beethoven, tchaikovsky, chopin, etc.

im not sure why but i feel like this would be the best for growing strong healthy plant. if music even has any effect on them at all lol.

You forgot, Mozart. Bad ass classical composer!

Myth Busters did a bit on that idea. They ran Heavy Metal, Classical, Someone talking nice to them, and talking/yelling, swearing at them. Also a control "green house" (each was in their own "green house").

The Heavy Metal ones did best (Go figure), followed by the classical, talking, yelling and the control did by far less then the others. I can just see the plants jumping to "Let the body's hit the floor" and "10,000 fists in the air." Lol
Hmm, I wonder if ST's "Send me your money" would improve potency? :hump:

I do plan on playing a few good composers as a change up every once in a while. I am going to try some big band and swing music too.

I saw a documentary many years ago, don't remember all the details but I do remember thrash metal, like the really noisy screaming stuff actually killed plants very quickly. Something about the hz range literally dissolving the membranes in the cell walls.

Take a minute to read the article below and see where I am going with this. I am choosing music not off my top 5 list but music women would like to hear IE- Justine Timberlake has a bit of an effect on women, like his music or not.
I am not going to be playing at high volume but a nice mellow back drop to entertain them all while they are alive.

Women like the words 'Here honey have my card and go shopping for the day' not Justin Timberlake
