If I make 1 Pint BRF/Vermiculite cakes and colonize them can I just crush up the cake, spread through one of those aluminum trays and case with straight vermiculite in a fruiting chamber? Thnx.

not totally sure about this...why dont you just use a different substrate like rye grain? it works well...and can be used in the method your talking about. what kind are you growing?

Hi, no, BRF cakes are just that... cakes... you roll them in verm then mist them and leave em in a fruiting chamber...
If you want to do tubs I can recommend popcorn or organic rye... these are easy to break up and spawn to other substrates like manure, coir etc..

Thanks you guys. I'm growing Golden Teacher's. I'll be using the dunk and roll technique to add yield and I'm hoping to get the spores in the mail anyday. Has anyone here used Sporebank?

If your looking for an increase in yield you can crumble those cakes onto a bulk substrate like Hpoo or Coco Fiber.

yeah go do some bulk, start with grains and transfer to coco coir or straw. Sterilize the grains and pasteurize the bulk. Don't forget you need to sterilize the BRF cakes too
