MULTI STRAIN HPS/LED ORGANIC GROW

Awesome! I have read that they don't produce solid flowers like the HPS does. My lights are 5 feet above the floor always. I never lower them because they would be below the top of some of the plants. How is the light at a distance? Do they loose par at say 24 inches from the fixture?

Sorry about the hijack M....
That's the one thing I would say about the leds is distance. Not sure exactly how far you can go above the canopy before you start losing light.

I ran my last small fixture 12 to 16" above and the buds are denser on that side, compared to my HPS side, which I had to keep it at least 20" above so I wouldn't bleech the plant. But still had dense buds at that height with the HPS.

My understanding is you need them relatively close, closer them the HID at least.

Looking marvelous as usual MD!!

I was wondering about the foot print of the led's. Is there enough heat reduction to justify the cost? Like if I used 8 led's in order to not use the two HPS lights?

I ditched the wife and daughter and split town for 4 days. I hung out north of Libby Montana near the Canadian border. This bridge was in front of the 1908 cabin I stayed in. I thought it was a cool picture so I will share it! Taken with a Samsung Note 4.

I think this is strain dependent. My SB is just as dense as ever but my trainwreck and cloud watcher are much heavier under the HPS. Can't argue with the increased trich production and I do believe that the lower temps have helped to stave off deficiencies but I still love my big lights!
As far as you replacing your HPS with LED...I think in your space your better off with what you have. I feel like the small footprint and lack of penetration leave a lot to be desired in an open grow space. That being said, I also believe that if I put 2 of these panels in my closet I'm gonna pull some serious weight!! So my opinion is that the LED's are great and the HPS is great! I can find a space for both

Hey m** how's thing's sorry I've not been in been run off my feet the last few months.....your gals are looking great as always and I'm glad your happy with the leds like someone posted before leds seem to be a feasible alternative if not an addition to the hids.......well m I've decided to give a scrog a go so I've built a net and banged it in the old faithful and things seem to be working well .......the plants r 7 critical+2(germed them for a mate that hit some probs)so I got left with them.I no it's going to be tight with 7 plants in a 6+3 space but my flower space is busy(4 sannies herijuana and 4 sannies Madberry)so I had no choice that's why I threw a screen over them instead of canes and ties......here's a pic of the net.The plants have just been flipped so I'm hoping the screen fills out well........any pointers would be much appreciated(we all no how good you r with a net) so that's it for now and I'll speak to you soon......
