Multi-family plant count?

What's up everybody? I live in a state that allows for 6 plants per person/12 per household. So what I am trying to figure out is what the rules are for a multi-family. Since there is say 2 seperate units, on one peice of property. Those 2 units are seperate addresses. So is each unit allowed to do there max plant number of 12 each? So 24 plants at the residence.
Any info on the topic would be appreciated.
Thanks to all who

Haha I would love to do 60 man. But id be happy with the 24 this year. Thanks

12 at each residence is probably okay. I'd get legal advice on doing 24 at just one residence.
Thanks for the help. That's what I'm trying to find out. It would be 24 in my yard but I live in a duplex. So there is two seperate apartments in the one house. I want to know if I'm able to do my 12 and my neighbor can do his 12

if the yard is shared property you are probably okay, but I'm not a lawyer.

I don't see why not? They are two different residences and house numbers correct?

Just from my (limited) reading of Mass law, as long as they are separate and legal residences, and as long as each residence only has a max of 12 plants or 6/person, then you would be ok.

You would not be ok growing 24 plants in the basement of one unit. You would not be ok growing 12 plants in your units if you lived alone but there were 3 people in the other unit.
