muh beautiful behbie  (feedback welcome)

i'm at the beginning of a one plant grow with virtually no equipment.

i picked her up in clone form from the head shop three days ago. the strain is Euforia bred by Dutch Passion.

i got the biggest clone at the shop because i really can't wait for harvest. luckily her roots weren't incredibly bound as i suspected they would be. i transplanted her from a little jiffy cube to a 6 liter pot as soon as i got her home.

i'd like to wait a week until i put her into 12/12 in order for her to recover from the transplant. if i'm off on this point feel free to let me know.

i'm considering bending her top down so her second highest branches will be highest from the ground, creating strong lateral branches instead of one dominant cola. i'll do this the first day of the 12/12 if we decide that's best.

i have a small fan for good airflow. i'm applying tap water by hand (only once so far). and i'm relying on the window to provide adequate sunlight.

i've never been responsible for another living creature, not even a houseplant or fish. so like i said, feedback is welcome.

I have found that there is no waiting period needed for transplant and going to 12/12. If it is done properly and it looks as though you have done it successfully you can go straight to 12/12. I like your idea of tieing down the top to develop lateral branching. I am a big fan of horizontal growing and I train all my mothers to grow in a circle. Good Luck with your grow.

sweet dude, that's exactly what i was hoping to hear. i'll go ahead and start her on 12/12 tomorrow.

i read recently on a breeder's site that its best to put her in darkness for 36 hours before switching her photoperiod to 12/12. this allegedly helps reset her internal clock. i'll give it a shot unless you guys think it'll harm her.

thanks for the responses! :peace:

Chronic the hedge hog! - MY negro!

you are fast with acquiring the shit! i didnt think you would be making any moves for a minute... but you go straight for the shit - beautiful! how much did you have to pay for the clones?

cant wait to see how she turns how... what is the photoperiod she is getting from the window?

any possibility of setting up a tent at the new crib?

bruthaaaa! :bigjoint:

i went to the head shop my first day in town, it's a great way to feel right at home.

i've only seen a small collection of clones available here, but they're all reasonably priced at about $15 a piece. the customer help was surprised i just wanted one.

the window photoperiod is a minimum of 14 hours decent window light. i say decent because her leaves are pointed up during all 14-16 hours of daylight. during the semi-dark period, her leaves droop when she's dozing and then point back up within 5 minutes of being exposed to light. i should take a pic of that.

i'm going to do a cabinet instead of a tent. the cabinet is bigger and better than tents i was looking at. i'd like to create a mother/daughter set-up in the cabinet :hump:

right now i'm off to get supplies. i was never able to put my clone into flower because i still have to create a totally dark environment for her :weed:

:peace:

here's a pic of the supplies i got yesterday. except for the fan, i've had it since day one.

my first ever fertilizer is the Plagron Alga-Grow. according to their website it contains: "nitrogen (4%), phosphor (6%), potash (8%), amino acids, trace elements and minerals..." i followed the directions putting 4 ml per liter. even though i only watered with half of that liter. its crazy but this is only the second time i've watered her!

as you can see i bent her top down. i remember reading a Rosenthal explanation of how our plants are both phototropic and geotropic: they direct themselves based on light and gravity. by bending the top down hopefully i've tricked muh behbie into thinking her lateral branches are her tops. i've also heard Soma say he does this to all his varieties.

anyone feel free to let me know if you think bending is a bad decision.

in the pics you may see a plastic bottle next to the behbie. that's the c02 generator! i picked up some yeast from the store yesterday and combined it with sugar and warm water this morning. hopefully the minute amounts of c02 and the new nutrients will help her easily recover from bending.

the rolled up rubber stuff you see in the pic is weather stripping in order to create a totally dark chamber. i was going to initiate the 12/12 yesterday but i failed to realize i need a latch on the door so it will shut properly :wall:

oh yeah, and this behbie reeks already. i can't imagine what she'll smell like in full flower.

wow... you REALLY bent that top down!

just make sure you dont touch her for a while... let that heal for about 2-3 days... it will heal stronger, just dont play with the part you bent down...

yeah - soil plants dont need too much water... most people kill them by overwatering... your plant looks happy though... (except that top part! lol)

i cant wait to see this one blossom...

you got anything to puff on in the meantime?

yo bro!
since i bent it today i can already see how the lateral branches are becoming the new top  i'll definitely be gentle with her in the next few day so she won't develop any problems. too bad it was cloudy today, she really could've used the full sun.

as far as smoking now... i just got back from an unsuccessful search. a guy took my money and gave me some plant material that's not ganja :finger: next time i'll look at the stash before i turn over my cash. live and learn i guess but damn, i'm pissed and sober, not a good combo. i truly can't wait till i'm smoking my own home grown.

Wow thats a beauty.. Good luck on the grow, I want to see how the rest goes!
thanks a lot Joe, i hope to keep everyone updated all the way through the smoke report. time has never gone by more slowly, and its hard to keep my head right in a new place with no connects  ah well, harvest will be soon, and near my b-day :-P

for a quick update, i got the latch i needed to make my dark chamber. i'm going to leave her in the dark for 36 hours so she will definitely know to reset her internal clock and initiate flowering. it might be a slow day or two with no updates but i'll be back to take pics of her first pre-flowers. :peace:

shitty... how did u meet this guy?

just go hang out by the head shops.. make buddies with someone that comes in - they will know you are cool... thats where i would try.

if you just have a dark chamber, you'll have to make sure that the 12 hrs of light she gets is at the brightest part of the day...

you might have to supplement it with some compact fluorescents if there is no sun...

the more light she gets during flowering, the more buds ;-)

stalking the head shop for unsuspected connects is too pushy and creepy for me. i scored some schwag from a sketchy place last night  i'm gonna scope out a reggae joint soon, hopefully i'll find something decent there :joint:

anyway, here's some pic updates of the behbie. you can see where i bent the top down and where its pointing back up toward the light. the pics look a little dark but its bright as hell we she's sitting.

i just completed the dark chamber so tonight will finally end her vegetative growth cycle. :peace:

I think you could really use some extra light for this <<nameless>> girl ;-)

i would recommend a 400w hps system if you can find one... did you ever get your dark chamber set up?? ;-)
