Mr Grow Pro (LED) - First grow

Not great, somethings up with them. They seem to have "stalled" growing/ budding out and a lot of the leaves are dying on both plants, the leaves are really yellow and dried out.

I cant figure out what it is, the PH is right, the temp inside the case is ok and Ive been giving them the correct amount of nutes. Ive been doing some research and it might be root rot but I cant understand how its happened :(

There is some new growth on the plant that I snapped the stalk on in my last update, which looks pretty healthy.. its just the older big tops that are dying!

Any advice welcome :)
Post some pics. I'd bet first guess is going to be nute lockout. So flushing them is probably going to be the first suggestion, maybe get rid of that salt buildup.

Sorry to hear that. Post some pics for us. Give your temp and ph levels when you can. Fan leaves dying off are part of the growth cycle towards harvest time too. What day and week of flowering are you in?

Day 74

I think it's either nute burn or root rot. Run off PH is 6.0. I have flushed with clean water today hoping that will help. Let me know what you think guys.

Like I said before, new growth is surprisingly good, so I am hoping that they can recover from this! :(

I think it's just nute burn, man. It looks similar to what I had going on. How long has it been happening? If it's only been a week or so, I'd probably flush them pretty good. Also, I'd pull off all those dead leaves and cut the fan leaves that are 50-60% dead off at the stem. They are not going to heal and just wasting resources.

Yeah, I hope its just nute burn. They've been like that for about 10 days now. I'll keep giving them pure water for now and remove the damaged leaves tonight :)

Looking at the bars the R/Bs line up with each other, creating a venetian blinds effect - all red-all blue...

Keeping the lights this close prevents the ability of the R/B to interact across the canopy

Raise them up a lot, probably > 12"s

If you are interested in a predominantly white led panel, drop by my threads

They seem a little better today, no where near as dry/crispy so maybe it is nute burn after all... Ive removed the dead leaves now.

I cant move the lights any higher either, and the last time I tried to bend the branches back I snapped a big one and really stressed out the plant, so I dont wanna risk it.

@Triplec did you scrap your 2nd Mr Grow Pro in the end?

I didn't scrap it. The AK is flowering decently. I mean it's really small and I won't get really anything out of it but some buds are developing now. I built that new cabinet and have another AK48 and a northern light auto in there growing also. I figure the 2 in the MRGROWPRO will take another month and then I'll move the autoflower in the mrgrowpro. I going to fim the new AK48 in the new cabinet so I'm planning on it getting pretty big.

Day 81

They are looking much better now I have stopped giving them nutes. The leaves are much greener, more vibrant and have a smooth, sticky feel to them :)

I am hopeful that I haven't done too much damage, they have recovered better than I expected them to - the buds are starting to smell and are sticky again which can only be a good thing. I can see what looks like smokeable bud forming which is great to see!

I estimate another 3-4 weeks to harvest now, I can't wait to get this grow done and start a new one without making the same mistakes I did this time round. Overall I am pleased with my first grow so far.

When yours were still like 1-2 weeks from sprouting old, did you ever notice any light stress? Mine seemed to have tiny spots on a couple of leaves and they are bending in some weird directions, some are canoeing. Not at the edges, but from the middle. It's not heat stress, temps are fine, but did the LEDS ever do anything when they were really young? I just pulled them up to be 8 inches away instead of 6. Worried mine may be too close, or I am being paranoid. Your story made me pull the lights up some, but the last thing I want (apart from a dying plant) is a lot of stretch. Your girls look so sad. I hope they can turn it around for you.
sorry im jumping into your grow so late, i also have just recieved my mr grow pro... there are def heat stress with my strain... i didnt think leds could give off that much heat

Mine just got flipped to 12/12 6 days ago and are looking great. I cut off a few of the leaves that showed some serious light stress early on, but it grew out of that phase. I just think the new seedlings don't handle LED lights very well. Just pull your lights up some and they will be fine. I seriously doubt it's heat stress. My case has temperatures about 2 degrees warmer than ambient so unless your plant is sitting directly on the light (literally) it's more than likely light stress and not heat stress. Your girl will get past it. Pull the lights a tad and it will be fine.

I'll try that thanks... My seedling were having a rough start also

I would wait a week or so to cut those leaves off though. Even though they are working at half strength right now, they are still providing a lot for your plant. Wait until you get some more on there before you cut. I was super worried in the beginning when my leaves were twisting and canoeing and starting to change colors a little bit. All new growth was good though so I kept it going.

Hey Ganja, what size pots are those? They look really tiny for the size of plants you were hoping to grow. Even though your girls didn't get big like you were hoping, awesome job sticking with it.

They're 5 litres, do you think I should go bigger next time? I think if they were any taller they would be too close to the leds so I'm not sure, what are you using?

Day 90

Finally, they have fully recovered from the nute burn now, and are starting to get nice big buds. They smell very, very tasty, sticky & sweet, I can't wait to have a smoke of these bad boys! I haven't given them nutes in around 2 weeks now, so I might give them some on my next water - being extra careful this time :) Enjoy the pics guys.
