Mr Grow Pro - 1st Time Grow

Day 8

Picked up a little over 10g of a strain called "Golden Gate"... has anyone heard of this before? I smoked less than a gram last night and was totally gone. Its definitely some of the best stuff I've smoked for a long time..

Day 17

Update. The bottom leaves started getting brown spots and turning yellow? What could be the issue? Other than the bottom leaves the rest of the plant looks pretty healthy. It's been almost 24 hours since I gave it a tiny bit of Big Bloom nutes.

IMO. Your soil has looked wet in all pictures, either you take pics after watering, or water a bit too much. FYI that light in the mrgrowpro is adjustable, you can lower it to your plants rather than raise the plant to the hottest part of the box. The seedling that died, I'm just wondering if it got too hot up there. Even if the temp was 85 or lower, a seedling could always use a dome over it, little clear Tupperware bowl works great to trap humidity in while she takes root. And only 2 bulbs above head screwed in for a little girl is all thats needed. She couldn't begin to use all that light at seedling stage, and would prefer not the heat. Just something to remember for next time. Sorry i didn't get here sooner. As for the leaves at the bottom, i wouldn't worry too much, i bet she pulls out of whatever nute burn or deficiency she felt. You're going to need a bigger pot. That included tub fills out the bottom better in my opinion. Whatever you can get the most soil in is best.

Hope that helps

Update - Day 48

Hello!

Thanks for the feedback, DIYer. I only wish I saw it sooner. I was going to transplant it into something bigger but then decided not to... I now realize that was a big mistake... the plant could of been much bigger by now. The past couple of days its been producing tons of trichs. I'm thinking it'll need another 3 weeks at least. I think I have nute deficiency too.

I am in my first grow as well and "not Dead" is my goal. Looks like you are going to make it. I would love to know how much weight you end up with.

Hey man, excellent looking plant despite the issues you ran into. I was curious on how you are liking the mr grow pro. I am considering getting one myself for my first grow due to my location and privacy issues. All I have heard is good things.
If tou could get back to me on it, Id love to hear your experience before buying one. Hell, i dont even want to try making one myself lol. Please keep updating, im excited to see your progress!

Awesome looking plant and congrats on the bud you'll be able to harvest soon! First off... your temp issue in the beginning may not be an issue at all! I made my PC box and thought I was having the same problem, however that was not the case. It's the AcuRite hygrometer itself, believe me I've spent around $60-80 messing around with other AcuRite hygrometers, reptile hygrometers, and top brand hygrometers. The AcuRite hygrometer isn't going to give you an accurate reading at all. This is because of the way it's manufactured and where you're using it. Right out of the box the instructions say not to use it in direct sunlight, in the tiny space you have in your grow box there's no way in avoiding this and your readings will be off. I've had up to 4 different ones in my box trying to hit that sweet spot only to find out that each hygrometer will give off slightly different readings. This is due to its location as well as how they were manufactured. If you want to test out your temp/humidity next grow and don't want to break the bank on a fancy expensive one, just get a simple non-digital hygrometer and place it near your plant; the reading should come out spot on around 76-80.

I only mentioned this because I see that your lights are adjustable and that you were afraid of your plants getting burned due to the readings you were getting. Don't be, lower those lights and keep them close to your plant along the grow, everyone who has set light fixtures always end up saying they wish their lights were adjustable. It's a luxury in a PC grow box and something I hope you don't miss out on b/c of the AcuRite hygrometer.

Looking good man, I'm in my first micro grow as well. What are you using for soil? My seedling is down in some seeding mix, but when I transplant I want to go with a good mix.
