Hello everyone and this is going to be the current setup, going to be in a 5x5x8 tent running as the title says 1200 Watts of HPS and MH at the same time. Growing in 7g sp running it coco/perlite mix plan is veg this month then switch. More details include upgrading to 8" fan and intake filter got new bulbs growlite trublue 600 MH and digimax 600 HPS. New 8" Dual Bulb Raptor hood (sweet) and replaced my exhaust filter with a new one (replacing after 1yrPhresh 6"x24" Carbon Filter) just to be on the safe side dosent feel light still pretty heavy but pre filter is pretty defined dirty. More info on the strain that Im doing nothing surprising I am going to be running 9 of my previous Blue Dream from clone this time around. Photos to come, still in the process of finishing things up and have to do some maintenance.

I have grown coco/perlite before and had pretty good results. i like the fact that its kinda soil but not. I like the hydro like growth but dont like mixing up the shit, too dirty for me lol. But whateva, I am so excited to see what full spectrum lighting will do for the buds and the plants in general. This is going to be a step up from anything I have done before, 9 plants to take care of is a first for me, the most I have run previously has been 6 plants. I am pretty sure that 9 plants is the max I can fit in this 4x4 flood tray that I have in the tent now probably could get 12 plants crammed inside but I want less plants and more buds. I am meditating on if I should just be a little slave boy and hand water all these plants or get alittle technology involved and have some type of drip feed system or just a system where I dont have to keep filling my watering pale. Have had some ideas but I know if I did something it would have to be outside the tent as its full enough as it is. Anyways I hope everyone enjoys the ride and will be more attentive with this journal then the last one I did. Lets see if I can reach the stars with this big ass hood.

Oh, question for the weed nerds out there, since I have 1200watts running is each plant theoretically going to get 133.33watts or am I just being noobish?

Only slightily noobish in the snese that plants do not want the watts they want the lumens lol. :p
The edges of your footprint will naturally have a little less light but if you spin/rotate your plants a fair amount it shouldnt have much of an impact plus it sounds like you will have a decent amount of crossover betweem the lights so i would not sweat it. Good luck to ya

Thanks for the response, I kinda figured my thinking was a bit flawed but about the spining/rotation I do that once a week every week :)

Grow Room Update:
This weekend marked the Final up potting of my new grow, sadly I dont have enough room in my 4x4 flood tray to hold 9 7gal smartpots, so I am stuck with 8 plants but will put the 9th to good use *Mother Plant*. Been bad week so far, Monday was sick and today my grandfather died so not the right way to start the week but it will get better. More explanation of why I staggered up potting ( I hand water all my plants, I work 6 days a week so I dont wanna water 8 plants all at once, things will be staggered 3 fed every watering and so on and so forth). More pics to come

I have a different dual hood I used to run 400w HPS and 400w MH in at the same time. I'm a big believer in those things.

Update from the jungle

Things are progressing rather quickly, Plants all seem to have had some gnat problems from person i got them from so i went and did a top dressing of gnat control shit seems to have worked, next problem seems to be sick plants that are alittle testy in coco, I have been out of silca blast and aquashield so i subbed them with Silca Armor and Hygrozeme, Plants have been growing and can def tell they are filling out. Hoping to get things under control in the next week or so because i plan on flipping in 2 weeks

Pictures to come this evening, anyone that knows what the issues are please feel free tell me.

Here are the pics , my opinion about the issues is ph because they were in soil and i didnt knock all of it off the root ball so im thinking since im using 5.8 ph and there is still soil it might be making those roots sick or something let me know. And the one plant that i switched out to another pot but is in soil looks great. so thats my 2 cents let me know yours thanks,

pics were from last nights smoke n cut party I had trimmed them up really good, plants looking a lot better now, didn't really see many gnats so I believe that top dressing worked :). Plants are exactly the same sizes they were when I vegged 3 months 36" tallest, 24" shortest and I have only vegged for 2 weeks wow, this coco is working very well, also when I was pulling out each girl the pots sides had roots all around
