Mould discovered during curing stage

Hi gents,

After having my nugs jarred for 1 week and burping for 10 mins once per day, today I noticed in one jar a few nugs showing signs of mould (white, stringy spider webby shit) and it has worried me that the whole jar is fucked, which is sad because it is a large jar. I did dry for 6 days, and actually thought the weed was too dry when I jarred it! Waiting on a hygrometer in the mail which would really show me if its too moist in there. Of course I am going to discard the nugs which show signs of mould (see pics), but what steps can I take to ensure the whole jar doesnt become mouldy? There could be an off chance that the mould wasnt from too much moisture, as I had a huge cola which became mouldy at the top and I cut it in half and kept the bottom half which I presumed to be ok. Any help much appreciated

the stem is how to tell if they are ready for the jar if the bottom stem on a bud bends instead of breaking it is still to moist try putting them in a papper bag placed in a plastic bag for the final drying before the jar that way you can control the rate. . Lot of Ladies on here too.

I might point out that you were a tad short on the drying before jarring part. Wait till the stems "crack" and not bend! Be SURE you do this for larger stems....
Be sure you dry well before RE-JARRING after the wash....

Closed paper bags work great. I leave my buds on large stems until they are almost finished curing & ready to be jarred with a boveda humidity pack.

After you think you're buds are 'dry' enough and you put them in jars, you need to check them 2 - 3 times per day. If the buds clump together and get soft, they're still too moist to leave in the jars. Dump them into a paper bag for 4 - 8 hours, then back in the jar. Repeat for the next week, checking buds to see if they're soft and clumping, then dump them out and let them dry more.

When you can spin them around in the jar and they no longer stick together and start making a 'clinking' noise as they rattle around, THEN you're in the cure zone. At this point, open them 1 - 2 times daily and take a good whiff, then reseal the jars.
