Does anyone have any tips on keeping your mothers short,no matter how much I clone or top they still get six foot high in a year,Id like to keep them waist high for good light penatration but mine just get too tall...............Thanks and Peace

i trim branches back to the closest nodes from the stem. they still wanna grow but it help curb them a little better.

a few things mayb? lights closer to the canopy...mayb suppercroppin but im not sure if u can top after that. how far are the lights and wat type?

Bonsai them. Just keep them in small pots, prune regularly, even when you don't need clones, and give them an occasional root trim. I keep mine in a small box with a few cfls, and they never get over 12" tall.

Im vegging with 2 430s and will switch to 2 600s sunday.My mothers are under two t5s and close as hell to the canopy.Im not worried now its six months down the line.I just killed a 7ft ghs trainwreck mother,I just dont have room.I have no trouble keeping mothers for multiple years,they just get too tall............Peace
