Mother plant Question

Does a mother plant have to be started from seed or can it be a clone. If you use a clone for a mother plant is there any break down or losses in the clones that you take from this plant?

Thanks !

You can absolutely use a clone as a mom. All my mothers are first generation clones. Which just means they were cut from the from seed plants. But if its a clone of a clone of a clone and so on... it does start to break down and lose it's potential more or less depending on strain...

Either...but from seed you will want to make sure it is a female plant, before taking any cuttings from it...just in case it is a hermie or male, don't want to clone them!

Clone is identical to plant taken from ;)

so which is it... mother or clone ? Lol..j/k thanks !
it can be a clone you grow into a mother plant and cut other clones from, or it can be a seed plant that does the same job. As long as its a dedicated clone producer, than its classed as a mother plant.
