Mother and Veg Cab rebuild

I've been using some Home Depot cabs for my Mother and Veg cabs but they were only 24" wide which was just a little bit on the small side so I built some new ones out over the weekend. I am not worried about either light or odor control.

Here's what the cabinets look like from the outside. They are 72" tall, 30" wide and 20" deep.

Here's the Mother cab on the inside. I used some plywood painted flat white for the back instead of the cardboard back the cabinet came with. Fans are 120mm PC fans.

Here's the Mother cab with the shelf in. This gives me two identical chambers. Each chamber has a 120mm fan circulating air and three holes cut at the bottom for a passive intake. Hole in the upper right of each chamber is for power cord for my lights.

Here's the back of the Mother cab. Fans are wired up and I've covered the intake holes with air filters.

Now on to the Veg cab. This cabinet will also have two chambers but instead of being split evenly like the Mother cab, this one has a larger veg chamber below and a small seedling chamber up top. 92mm PC fan up top and 140mm PC fan below.

Here's what the chambers in the Mother cab look like. Lighting is 2x11w T5 two foot shop light.

Here are the lights in the Veg cab. I use the same style 2x11w shop light for the seedling chamber. The lights for the vegging chamber is a 3x55w T5 fixture that I built myself. Basically just took one a shelf, mounted ballast on one side and lights on the other.

Yes, very nice. Really cool way to keep your farm going and going and going
I've had one strain, my Hashberry/Lockdown cross, that I've kept a mother of since 2006. Problem was that I've added a couple of other mothers (Pineapple Express, Purple Haze) and was running out of room. That and the 2' shop lights didn't really fit and were sorta wedged in.

This also lets me have a "holding area". When I'm trying out a new strain, I can take a cutting before I throw it in the flower tent and decide later if I want to keep the strain long term.

That's really cool, I too have had a strain going since 2006. A nice og kush pheno that I really really like.

Mother plants just make is so easy. No worrying about sexing the plants, or if your seeds are going to get confiscated. If an order gets confiscated, I fall back to one of my mother plants and grow that strain instead.

Thanks LT. It's more for keeping things out more than anything else. The fans are pulling too much air through the filters, especially since it's not very air tight

Sorry I missed the question on price. I believe the cabinets themselves are ~$100 each, I found them on sale for $75. The plywood I used for backing was $8/sheet
