Most efficient, yet simple method

what would you guys think would be a good method for a grower looking to dip his foot into new waters (no pun intended). i have done soil grows, but now i am looking to make a few bucks on the side, and thought that i should try out hydroponics.

what do you guys think would be the best method for somebody used to growing, just not hydroponically?

i am most interested in:

Nutrient film technique (NFT)
drip system
deep water culture (DWC)

also, i am somewhat interested in:
ebb and flow

i will be growing from seed to harvest for now. I am fairly new to hydroponics but want to get into it. Which method listed above would be best in terms of easiness for a beginner to hydro, highest yield and best efficiency.

money isnt all that much of an issue.

thanks guys.

i was also wondering, with an ebb and flow, how exactly does the water drain out? sorry, that part seems to confuse me.

The easiest way to start is ebb&flow, flood and drain. For my first hydro grow, I hammered some boards together into 4-foot long trays, lined them with heavy plastic, put a drain tube in the bottom that connected to a bucket. That was it.

Filled the trays with pea gravel, and put plants in the gravel, and filled the buckets with nute solution. Back then, I didn't even know how to spell pH, so I didn't worry about that. Once or twice a day, I'd pick up the bucket and pour all of it into a tray, flooding the rocks, and then set the bucket down so the trays would drain back into the bucket.

The next crop I put a submersible pump in the buckets on a timer, and automated hydro was here to stay. That was in 1978. :blsmoke:

You cant get much more simple than that.... Today is even easier with purpose built plastic trays, digital ph meters and the internet to mention a few. Doesnt matter what u try just give it a go, each method can be broken down into basics which understood properly can be done by anyone.
