First off the title....is a joke. Or IS it?
I just ordered it today so I don't know yet, but once it's in I'll make sure you do!

Needed a new toy for the holidays and shopping for LED is more frustrating then fruitful so I said hey, why not get something that will actually effect (affect?) my smoking pleasure over the holidays.

I pretty much only smoke bho made with a tamisium. for the safety aspect if anything. Phillips Rx is hash king, and he uses Tamis.

One thing that I really want to figure out before it gets here is what is the 'best' transport solvent.
They provide this neat chart with the polarity and soluability and gleaming from that info I would assume naptha would be excellent for it but in all the text it refers to using either acetone or ISO which has me a little confused.

I really don't see myself wanting to 'scrape' the goods out afterwards like allot of people do, seems to kinda defete the purpose of such a clean and mean looking extractor.

Brah... n-butane all the way. Those charts are for legal purposes and not for making bho. If you cant get that you can still use Vector or whatever canned gas mixture you use. No need for a second solvent.

Im talking about getting the stuff out, post butane recovery.
I want to pour it out, not scrape it out.

Scraping is whats up. You can pour out while still wet, if you don't care about total recovery. then just evap as usual.

My optimum situation would be to have the carrier solvent in the recovery/extractor tank so that after the primary extraction AND butane recovery phase I could just pour out the left over liquid solution and then just evap off the carrier.
I'm going to give it a go with Naptha and report (once the damn thing gets in!).

Have you researched naptha? Its a horrible solvent for cannabis and will make nasty black extract. Iso is better, so is hexane. But butane is the best.

I have to agree with Matt. What folks call "naphtha" in the US is awful. For strictly transfer processes, any volatile neutral solvent will work ... hexanes are good, pentane is ideal; acetone will work OK but make sure you won't harm your seals. cn

Whats wrong with the Naptha ? Are you saying the stuff in the US is impure or that Naptha simply is not a good solvent for Cannabis?

Ive worked extensivly with naptha but not with thc.
On its own VM&P naptha is very clean, evaps to nothing, no residue.
Been consuming 'other' things made from it for years.

Avoiding the black tar is ideal though and counts as a disqualifier.

Oh buddies........
Will start with the pics over the weekend but I am having a ton of fun over here.
Everything came in, did an unboxing pic set and then a few sloppy test runs to get the hang of it.
Really really happy with this thing, it really is super easy to use and despite my best effort to waste gas things are turning around great.

Any idea on xylene? Ive got a bunch left over from a few years ago Id love to use and get rid of.
Acetone seems to be where Im leaning.

I will say however that I did scrape out two runs so far and it was not nearly as bad as I thought, the oil really does not stick well to steel when warm.
