Yeah Video I started using it as well.
I have noticed what would appear to be a boost in growth,
Well I should'nt say growth. I mean my plants just started showing sex.
I think the molases kicked them into showing signs.
They have been flowering for 8 ds and I used the molases day before yesterday.
Seems to really help with bud sites.
Mine had just stoped growing vertically and started focussing on buds.
I have not used any nutes yet.
I messed up and got some 9mo potting soil time release crap.
I am scarred to add the nutes.
I am going to buy some sort of bloom nute tommorow. Knowing me I will probably start with an 1/8th of the recomended strength and judge how they do.

Ok so here I am revisiting an old link that I had originally been drawn too.I have some questions and have been drawn in after much research on products I have used in the past and have made compariosons too_Ok so here's where I stand.I originally was planned to use Sweet and carbo load as my boosters.I have my wild berry sweet on hand and have started introduceing it at week 3 . I opted to go get in on the molassas train(dont worry about spelling its un important) and decided on Grandmas but instead of original I selected Robust which is slightly less sweet but has a higher sugar and carb count which is what we are after besides my berry Sweet additive will add the taste I want. Now heres where I wonder.I see its 2-4 table spoons per gallon I want to know is that for soil feeds or all feeds? I run aeroponics and want to know since its a pure feeding from the mist should I go lower stay the same or what?Is anyone adding this to an aero setup yet? Also how often would I be adding to my res.I figure not a probem to scoop out a gallon of my res water disolve the amount in it dump it in and repeat as my res is holding 30 gallons of solution. Will I need to add daily weekly or what would this routine be best gitted too??Any help or direct links referencing this stuff in aero or hydro would help too. Thanks guys..

hi jackinthebox, i live in the uk n just cant find it in my local shops or supermarket ... yes, northerntights, i was carefull to be sure i got the organic kind dont want that nasty chemical sulphur , tho this does contain a natural amount of sulphate its the ok kind same as in molasses ... the ph rises just a little roosterfish, but still about 6.5 im growing in soil john innes no3 , with a pinch of chem pack vegetable food 20-20-20 (im not terribly worried about being organic )not fed anything else during veg...waited till 2nd wk in flowerin to start with the treackle .. 3rd wk i used pk13-14 every other day weak tho.. my controll plant which has had the same except the treackle is ok , but the buds are developing slower and havent such a gd colour as the 1 given treackle ... half way thru 4th wk now .... (saying that tho im growin from seed n i no that can cause varience )

how much does it change ph????
I was waondering the same thing. First i got my water to 6.8 ph (or there abouts). Then added the 2 tbl spns of molasses. The water retested at 6.0 (or there abouts). It's hard to tell because the molasses makes the water look like iced tea.

As for my molasses results. I'm using Grandma's original. 24 hours after the first application, i didn't notice much diffrence in growth but they did smell sweeter. Hopefully tonight i'll see a bud growth spike. 8-)

Molasses Rules. Last night (48 hours after using the molasses), i got a growth spurt. There was a dramatic diffrence in bud growth from what i typically see. The odor and leaf crystal seem to have almost doubled. Not bad concidering the molasses cost about $3.50

It *is* good stuff. Just don't over do it (like any other additive).

What's happening is that yer soil may be starting to awaken. The sugars in the molasses are feeding the microbes present in the soil (unless you use chem ferts or chlorinated water and then there are few, if any microbes present). In turn..you are seeing a result up top via new growth.

The other factor coming into play...if you read the label..is that molasses contains iron, mg, and sulphur. All of these "micronutrients" go into solution and feed the plant. The iron will green it up..for sure...especially in veg.
mg and sulphur are taken up throughout the plant's life..and the mg will help to keep those "brown spots" from forming on the leaves in Mg lacking fert regime's.

A lot of organic ferts are molasses based or have molasses in em. Good stuff!

good luck

Yeah Im glad I stopped using molasses now..even though it did appear as if it made the buds get bigger, whether it did or not is all theories and speculation.

But what I DO know is that I wont be using it anymore. Molasses taste worse than it smells..and it does NOTHING TO IMPROVE the taste of the bud.

**Every one I've smoked my bud with told me they didnt like the way my bud tasted bcuz of the after taste that molasses leaves.**

Its not tasty AT ALL so if you dont care about the natural taste of the bud and if you really dont want to experience each strains natural flavor then thats FOR YOU, go ahead and use the molasses. But if you want a really top quality smoke THEN DONT use molasses and use some other sugar cane substitute instead.

When people say that molasses adds it's own flavor to the bud is often a fallacy, rarely does the taste of the molasses incorporate itself into the bud AS IS. However, it does give added carbohydrates and other organic compounds that allow the plant to produce more resin, sweeter resin and increased mass. Yes, molasses isn't the greatest tasting thing in the world, but if given a few days to process the natural compounds, any transfer of molasses taste will be metabolized and the pure taste of the strain will remain. The fact is that the structure of the bud is too biologically active and complex for the molasses to be absorbed at the roots, transfered to the stalks and go through the mechanisms of flowering without being altered and incorporated biologically. Botanicare has the product 'Sweet" in two different "flavors," berry and citrus, you have to be a schmuck to think that it will make your bud taste like berries or oranges. It's simply a source of biologically important compounds that allows the plant to become sweeter and more resinous by supplementing it's own mechanisms for synthesis. If your paranoid, flush it from the system a week before harvest and feed with water, but it shouldn't be necessary.

Well on molasses it has it benefits but do not use it in any type of aero system as its the devil in these lol.I use Sweet berry. It ma not give a berry taste but does give a sweet resin and the aroma of berries to the actual buds when drying. I like the Sweet and usually use berry but have friends who use and prefer the citrus for its aroma

also make sure you dont use it in hydro as it will kill your plants and clog up you system. this method is a soil only method***
