I don't have a ph pen and like to use mollases but I don't know what it has for PH? has ne 1 tested what it does at 2 tbls per gallon of ph neutral water? The only ph test I have is the color shade type so mollasses is out of the question.

Im in the uk and picked some up today for 69p for 340g from a health food shop

Was board so I just tried the ph pen out and this is what it read,

Tap water - 7.2.1
This was in a clean glass which was half filled,

Molasses - 7.5.5
This was after 3-4 tablespoons had been added to my bucket holding 20 liters of water or about 5 gallons,

I tested the water with Molasses in first, Then tested the tap water after cleaning the pen and drying it so I will wait for the pen to dry then try it the other way round and see if results are the same.

This is what is in molasses..

Very informative bigbud. kudos +rep

Over all Id have to side with videoman here. Ph shouldn't be an issue if you are only supplementing. If anything adjust your waters ph a little and it will only help to stabilize it

I also agree with videoman,

As after all you add this to your water bucket then when you water your plants you take what you need, In my case its 2 liters every 2-3 days.
After adding your nutrients then is the time to do a ph test then a just from there.

But after an hour and with a dry ph pen I redid the test, Tap water first this time and it is still the same as before.!!

69p for a possible 20% increase in bud growth worth every penny I say.

Here is some more info on molasses....

What Is Molasses?
The highest grade, pure molasses - like Grandma's - is made from 100% pure, natural sugarcane juices, clarified, reduced, and blended to get just the right color and consistency. But there's difference in grades of molasses.
The purest molasses is pure cane juice. If a manufacturer wants sugar, the cane juice will be processed. The result is a raw sugar and low purity molasses. But Grandma's Original Molasses (Gold Label) is the original, high purity, unprocessed cane juice without any sugar extraction. In manufacturing raw sugar, after the cane has been harvested and mashed, the raw juices are boiled to extract sugar. To produce table sugar, the manufacturer will further process raw sugar into refined sugar. The remaining syrup - after the sugar has been crystallized - is called first molasses. Grandma's Robust Molasses (Green Label) is a blend of first molasses. First molasses, a thick brown syrup, is then thinned with water and re-boiled so that more raw sugar can be extracted.
The leftover syrup from the second boiling is second molasses, and so on. The more boiling you have, the less sweet molasses becomes until you get down to three or more boilings. By this time, the molasses known as "blackstrap" has almost no sweetness, but the highest nutritional value.
Grandma's Original Molasses is pure, concentrated cane juice, and retains its natural sugar content. It's sweet, light and never bitter. Grandma's Molasses is a rich, amber-color that blends beautifully with other foods and enhances the natural flavors of the ingredients with which it is mixed.

Grandma's Original:
Highest grade, pure molasses available
100% pure, natural sugarcane juices, clarified, reduced, and blended to get just the right color and consistency (no sugar removed)
Slightly sweeter and lighter in color
Unsulphured – contains no additives
Organic
Fat-free
Kosher Certified
Available in 12oz. and 24oz. jars as well as 1 gallon and 5 gallon foodservice jugs

Thanks everyone, I started on Growfaq , i still look at it, anyway i am here and finding all my needs. I just tried molasses tonight and did a folar feed with seltzer , (low sodium) , i took things a step further and used distilled water. i am thinking , end of the first week of April , i will harvest, i decided
to try water cure since i am so impacient , this is my first grow and i lucked
out with some females, I also think it was from reading all these post.
My suggestion to Newbees, Go for it , you can do it on a low budget, expirment, make mistakes, give back what you learn,
Thats what WEED is all about.

Grandma's is the kind that I got. That was before I saw your post too. So cool. Has a great receipe on the side for cookies and another for making your own brown sugar.

Dude, is that a brand? I searched it for you and came up with nothing. Use blackstrap molasses, such as grandmas molasses. Any high grade will do, you dont want it further processed, you want blackstrap.
Hope this helps.
Peace

This stuff is working great, i checked my plants today and i was shocked...they're covered in crystals...one of the plants in particular is covered in trichomes, it looks like some white widow...and all of my plants came from mid-grade bagseed...i don't if it's the molasses or not but my weed is looking way danker...i'll put up some pics of it soon.
