Just been on MG site, lol, kdf carbon filter from China $500 lol, cost price on alibaba $40 per 50.
Nice thread do continue to help.
Ehh...The classic troll... Thanks for the love Zeddd, it's attention from people like you that's made us who we are today. Our diluted margin is now down around 20%, fyi, and we STILL continue to provide stellar customer/technical support.....even without laundering money! Thanks

No way any store can compete with online prices. They have almost no overhead, nor do they create jobs. Alot of online stores only have a few products they they buy in huge bulk and undercut what is even possible for small business. They also cant help when you have a problem. Hey shop online all ya want, lord knows i do to lol. If the store i worked at reduced there margin to 20% we would go bankrupt. the only reason we even turn a profit is probably because of my knowledge. people tell me they keep coming back because when they are here they are educated.

You said it Dynamo - we avoid the pricing game at ALL costs. Luckily we're starting to see the laundry mats drop off... Praying for the day when good business will get recognition.

Zeddd, 90% of all materials sold in this Industry and the next are manufactured in China. There is no avoiding this... If you have the ability to import from China then I would happily advise you to do so and "save" some money. Cheers

I didn’t ask for your advice, I simply made the point that you sell overpriced filters, nutrients that do little but empty credulous growers wallets, and market your brand via this thread and YouTube

Nor did I ask for yours, but you deemed it necessary to throw your 2 cents into Monser Gardens thread. We sell what customers ask for, bottom line. You wouldn't be able to fathom the strategies involved in our marketing efforts, it's the reason our Brand is recognized worldwide. If you feel you can purchase and import your own items and possibly educate others on how to do the same we welcome it. Regardless, we will continue to offer education (through this platform and many others) and video production (through YouTube and many others) FREE to the public. This service supersedes any cost you deem to be too great on any of our products.

I would appreciate you taking your bleak outlook elsewhere and pester other forum goer's, this thread is here to HELP others.

That’s not how it works here new member, my comments are not ad hominem or indeed bleak. Why do you charge so much for water filters,? thanks in advance for a direct response to this specific question

Your comments and questions are banter, you're being a smart ass. If you want to discuss pricing let's first discuss the fundamentals of business. A company manufactures a product, the price is set and it's sold to Distributors, who set their prices, then retailers buy the products and mark them up before selling them to customers. That markup, in the last step (where we come into play), is dismal at best.

Furthermore, I understand Forum etiquette, I've personally been a member of this forum and others for over a decade. This means I fully understand trolls without a purpose are a part of it.

If you have questions regarding pricing, call the manufacturer, ask them how they justify such margins...
